It went pretty easy. There was no one approaching her with unseemly requests—just good old-fashioned teaching.
She taught, she graded, she answered emails and there were no cryptic emails, no notes slid under her classroom door, no sudden requests to "stop by" after school. Leah felt refreshed. It almost felt normal again. Even her anxiety was a manageable hum, like background static.
