Chapter 22

What do I choose?
Main Branch: A long tongue
I think for a moment, not sure what to get, flicking through the pages of the book. I couldn’t make much use out of something too physical like extra strength, though something like an additional limb would be useful. On the flip side, just smelling nice wouldn’t be the worst either…
Having made a decision, I let Lia know, “I’ll get the curse of true dragon’s tongue.”
Lia smiles at the choice. “Oh, very nice, that’ll be easy, just let me go and gather what I need. Feel free to peruse the shelves while you wait.” She says, quickly walking behind me to another room somewhere else on this level.
Now stuck waiting, I put the book aside and look closer at the various cases of items around me, even some of the book titles. On the higher shelves were things like ‘alchemical remedies: debunked’ and ‘the complex anatomy of our selves’, typical for a learned doctor. The lower shelves however, were a different story. The first title I saw down there was not even hiding it’s intent, with a title like ‘concoction of love’ and the very next being similar with ‘seduction as a science’. The entire shelf of books was like that, and it didn’t get much better looking around at the other lowest shelves.
Footsteps reapproached the room, and soon enough, Lia walked back in with an armful of ingredients that she immediately dumped on the nearest desk. It looked like a random mixture of things in bags or vials; charcoal, soap, herbs, and a few thin strips of what looked like good quality leather. Before I could even ask about it though, the elf had pulled out a manner of things to mix or grind with, including a clear glass bottle of water from seemingly nowhere, explaining as she started.
“This’ll be incredibly quick for you, all it’ll take is just a few common pieces in a few different applications, should be very easy for you, cutie.” She said, winking back at me.
Wondering if I was going to get kidnapped today, I just smiled and waited for her to continue.
Thankfully, she didn’t seem to notice my awkwardness, “First thing I’m doing is grinding up these pieces of charcoal and sulphur, it’s potentially a dangerous mix, and if we’re being honest, I would not try this ever in a wooden house just in case…” She trailed off, likely thinking of whatever disaster happened on a time that danger became relevant. Continuing, she proved her skills by not messing it up today, “…and then next we’ll grind up these herbs and mix them with the bones of a dragon for that touch of uniquity, and then we can move on to the fun step, mixing it all together!”
Pouring the various mixtures from their various containers, she swirled around that bottle of water, the contents finding their places at various levels before being disturbed by a sudden incessant shaking, Lia bouncing up and down with the effort. It was odd, watching the before graceful elf turn into this vibrating bundle of violently jiggling flesh, though there were certain… attractive parts to see there.
While she was busy mixing the supposed solution to all my problems, she shakily asked me to prepare for the next step, “s-so, w-we’re gonna ha-a-ave to do s-uh-mething-g-g…” She managed, before stopping, panting slightly. Trying again, she repeated herself, “We’re going to have to do something that you might find a bit… revealing. If you would please take off your tunic?”
