Hypnotic romance

"Hey," said Ben, lying behind Susie with his arms around her in the spoon position. The couple were in Susie's bedroom, several days later. "You know what you're about to do?"

"Um... no."

Ben told her. Susie's eyes went wide as saucers. "No!" she protested, hotly, trying to elbow him in the ribs. Ben laughed, and easily squirmed out of the way. "I'm not doing that!"

"You won't even know you're doing it," said Ben. Susie was still hypnotised into absolute obedience, and so were all the rest of the girls in Pinkwhistle, to the delight of the boys, who'd been taken aside by Trickett later and let in on all of her ancient mystical secrets. "In only a second you'll forget we had this conversation."

"But I don't want to," protested Susie, hotly. "Wait, what were we talking about?"

"How pretty you are."

"Aww. Ben, you're so sweet." Susie got out of bed and set about making Ben a delicious pancake breakfast. When they'd eaten it together, Ben got dressed, and the pair of them started walking to school. People sniggered at her as she walked in through the school gates, but she wasn't really sure why.

"After you," said Ben, grinning. Susie walked into her math classroom, which was completely full. Curiously, every single one of her fellow students was holding a camera, and sporting an enormous smile. Ben walked in behind her, shut and locked the door and leaned up against the wall, smirking.

"Susie Snook," scolded Ruby Chow, Susie's stern but undeniably attractive math teacher. "Where on earth are your clothes?"
