Ask for work

You ask the blacksmith for work, and you start to work for him as an apprentice. He likes you and is attracted to you.

The forge’s heat is hard to resist when you swing the hammer, the blacksmith teaches you, his hands guide yours when you falter.

"Good, real good." he says, "You learn fast."

His compliments are frequent, and sometimes he's too close, using excuses to grab your arms or waist.
He offers you a room at the forge, which he can give to you for free if you continue to work at the forge.

But you have other plans...
You can speak about the gauntlet, ask him the price to buy it with your work, or you can accept the room and steal it when he's sleeping.
