Time skip to just before the Festival!

"Eat this!" All Might was smirking at Izuku on Sunday afternoon, the day before the Sports Festival. They were in his office again, and All Might was holding out a hair to Izuku in a familiar way. It had, for obvious reasons, been decided to pass One For All back to Izuku right before the event.

"...this is going to be a thing between us from now on, isn't it?" Izuku asked with a rueful chuckle.

"Yes, yes it will," All Might nodded with a boisterous laugh. "You more or less started it though when you decided to hold a grudge."

"I'm sorry, I think the reason I held a grudge in the first place is because you're the one who started it," Izuku snorted. He still ate the hair though. He'd have the full **** of One For All back before the day was over. Though he still could only use a percentage safely, it should still be enough to perform well.

"True, but I wasn't vindictive about the first time we had to do this," All Might argued back, before reclining in his chair. "By the way, I have something else interesting to tell you," he added.

"Oh? What's that?" Izuku questioned, relaxing in his own chair.

"Well, you know how the student who gives the initial statement in the Sports Festival is usually the one who scored highest in the entrance exam? We decided against that this time around for certain reasons," All Might explained.

"...it was Kaa-chan, wasn't it?" Izuku deadpanned, and All Might snorted and nodded.

"Yes. While Hound Dog hasn't banned him from participating, he did file a recommendation that we have someone else do that particular address, though the details as for why are confidential under certain ethical restraints. All I know is that Young Bakugo has to see him regularly now," All Might replied, and Izuku grimaced. He knew those details, but only because Bakugo himself had angrily told him and blamed him.

"I doubt the incident that happened earlier this week helped his case either," Izuku noted, referring to the moment on Wednesday when the General Studies Course had dropped by to scope out the competition, only to be called "extras" by the volatile young man. Izuku chuckled weakly as he unscrewed his water bottle, and just before taking a drink, asked, "So who's the unlucky sucker who got stuck with public speaking out of the blue?"
