As Sothis reported everything, Byleth went down the manhole, an walked down the underground corridor, making sure to keep his guard up for any traps. He eventually walked up the Gatekeeper in Abyss, Sothis floating back up to him. "So, can I tell you about the sexy girls I found now?" she asked him, draping her arms around his shoulders from behind.

'Fine, go ahead,' he mentally replied as the Gatekeeper asked him about his business down here. When Sothis gave him an excuse to be down here by mentioning that there was a fortuneteller, he told the Abyss Gatekeeper, "I heard rumors of a fortuneteller down in Abyss, I thought that I'd try getting my fortune read. And as for who exactly I am, I'm the new Professor at the Officer's Academy."

The man shrugged. "Meh, fair enough. Just don't cause any trouble down her, and do try not to spread around our existence to the general public. We like things quiet here." Byleth nodded as he was let in.

'Easy enough!' Sothis chimed. 'It's like a secluded town more than anything else down here, they don't particularly mind any visitors so long as they aren't going to raise any issues and bring some business!'

Byleth nodded slowly as he took in the surroundings as Sothis began explaining about the girls, named Hapi and Constance, telling about their appearance, and also that they had pretty opposite personalities, Hapi being a little withdrawn, Constance being rather full of herself. Byleth listened as most people didn't pay him a second glance as he explored the underground. Though he definitely noticed that almost everyone here was armed. And he had no doubt they knew the tunnels and how to get to safety if anyone did come down here to cause problems.

"You lost?" he heard someone ask him from behind and he stiffened. Whoever had spoken was definitely proficient with stealth. He turned to find a rather feminine looking man with a rather confident demeanor.

"Exploring more like," Byleth replied. "I heard about this little underground city, and got curious."

The man snorted slightly. "Careful. You do know what curiosity can do to cats, as they say, right?" he asked.
