Open the door

You don't even bother waiting for a knock just opening. "What?"

Lucia is standing outside reaching a hand out to knock. "How did you know I was there?"

"Seemed inevitable." You sigh. "Sorry for dragging you to the Church."

"Yeah about that. Are you. I mean I don't believe that stuff but. Are you. I barely felt anything unlike the other but I felt a little so. Are you ..." She let out a sigh. "What happened?"

"An actual Goddess is pretending to be the Mother of All to try and convince me to be her champion in a game against her sister another Goddess who also want me to be her champion." You are too worked up to think up a convincing lie.

"Oh, right ... really?" Lucia asked after a short pause.

"Yeah, they're in the room right now trying to make me pick between them."

Lucia looks over your shoulder and laughs then starts laughing harder. You look over your shoulder and see an empty room. "Thanks for that Trouble. Sorry I just got," Lucia lets out a breath, "yeah think I'll miss the next service. Come on lets get something to eat." She turns and takes a few steps. "Hey you and Auria, you two aren't courting are you? I mean I'm going to steal Vatarie from you but doing it twice just seems kinda ..." She turns to see you still standing in your doorway. "You coming?"

You look behind you at the empty room. "You know what, yeah, sounds good." You say closing the door behind you sealing a very bemused room closed.

"Great so about Auria?" Lucia asks as you skip over to walk by her side.

"No we aren't courting she's just –"

"Reaalllly into sex." Lucia finishes for you.

"That sums it up. Just be careful with Oriana she's –"

"Reaallly into you and not just for your cock." Lucia again finishes for you.

"That sums it up." You say and the two of you start laughing. The decent to the dinning hall is spent making small talk while avoiding any talk about today. You are confident she didn't believe you about the reality of the situation but honestly believe you or not just saying it out loud did help you. When you reach the bottom floor there are a lot of student milling about.

The dinning rush must be a lot more relaxed on the weekend. You and Lucia walked into the hall and got your plates. You gathered a very large pile since you hadn't eaten anything substantial all day and had gone on an ill-fated escape flight.

"Hungry?" Lucia asks as you sit together. Her plate was a lot shorter

"Talking to Goddesses does that." You say and start wolfing down as much as you can.

"Oh, thanks." She reaches over and starts to pick at you food. Her lack of belief in your claims was clearly making her interpret your actions as altruistic. You were tempted to shoo her away but honestly her not believing you was probably for the best, she did say she didn't believe introducing her to two literal Goddesses might be a step too far.

You eat together making some small talk mostly, about her performance on Wednesday when she asks what you kinda expected her to ask. "So can you help rehearse after dinner?"

"Well I do have two Goddesses waiting for me in my room."

"Vatarie and Auria are in your room?" Lucia asks with faux shock that dissolves into a smirk.

You shake your head and laugh. "You really need to get laid."

"I'm doing my best here, Oriana's fine with heavy petting but the second either of us try to go further she pulls us apart." Lucia complains leaning back to show her frustration. Then she sits back up and give you a soulful look. "Hey can you do me a favour?"

"Ha, no." You don't even want to consider what you would need to do with Oriana to get Lucia and Aruia some alone time but if there is a rule about how bad an idea it is to have sex with crazy there must be a rule about not having sex with people who see you as a religious figure.

"Fine guess that means it'll have to be Vatarie." Lucia says with a wink.

You shake you head and laugh. "Good luck, but I have a date with her tomorrow night so Auria might be the quicker choice." As you say it something pops into your mind. Didn't you say you'd go out with Asune tomorrow night. Shit.

While you wonder how you can possibly get out of this Lucia stays quiet giving you a surprised look.

When you finish you dinner you got nothing, either you cancel on Vatarie, which doesn't seem safe, or you cancel on Asune which also doesn't sound safe but in a slightly different way. You aren't hopeful enough to believe one date would end before the other starts and while running between two dates is a classic in your last world, you aren't sure it exists in this one. Upside you might be able to create a classic trope.

"You coming?" Lucia asks standing up. You'd kinda zoned out while you ate and stressed about which version of unsafe you want to experience.
