Chapter 57 by CMW CMW

Is it time we find out what the hell Rosemary is making?

Yes, yes it is

Finally, it was all dry. At this point it was pretty simple. I wrapped the powder into some leaves and lightly brushed some sap over them before sticking them close enough to a fire to dry them out effectively sealing them. I had enough for about thirty packets. Good. Plenty to go around.

Vivi looked at the packets first. “These were worth my transformation? What are they exactly? So we need to send six to the goddess you made a deal with?”

I shook my head. “Nope. First is always the sisters. And let me show you,” I said as I took four packets over to the table and asked Sofia to bring some cups and a pot.

I began boiling water as I feed a needle though each leaf packet, careful not to spill any. I then fed a small string through the hole I created. Effectively making it so I could hold all four packets by individual strings.

“Is that,” Victoria began to say.

“Tea?” Brenda finished.

I nodded. “Best cup of tea in the world. Been years since I had a cup. Or, I guess not, but I don’t remember my last cup, so it feels like years.”

I poured the hot water into the cups and placed the four teabags in them.

“And that tea is valuable enough for my transformation? How much would it be worth in gold?” Vivi asked.

“Impossible to say. I am sure you’d struggle to sell it to even a king. It is much more valuable as a divine offering. But it’s value there sort of stems from the fact that so few brew it,” I said.

“But-”

The three sisters arrived. Agala of the past, Lillium of the present and Drewchel of the Future.

“Be silent for our tea time,” Drewchel said.

“Who are—” Brenda began to speak but she froze mid sentence.

“We will have asked you to be quiet,” Drewchel said.

“We had wanted to enjoy our tea with our favorite daughter,” Agala added. She waved her hand and the sisters all vanished.

I reached out and caught Victoria’s glasses. Why did—oh. I see.

“It is nice to see you again, Rosemary,” Lillium said.

I nodded. “Indeed. Or I suppose, not actually that long.”

“You will always be clever,” Drewchel added.

“Had you been enjoying all the sex?” Agala asked.

I smiled. I tossed Victoria’s glasses into the air towards them and Agala caught them.

“Hmm. What were you thinking?” Agala asked me.

“It is more your suggestion, is it not?” I asked.

The sisters sipped their tea in silence for a moment.

“We have done what you want,” Lillium said.

“Oh?” I asked. Honestly questioning the sisters was always a bit frustrating, they already knew what I knew and what I wanted to know, so no amount of cleverness was going to help you convince them. But they did enjoy seeing you dance.

“It will be up to your Master. He shall be the one who decides how the tie is settled. We will presume you consider this fair?” Agala asked as she handed me Victoria’s glasses back. I could feel the divine enhancement in them already.

“Ah, I see,” I said. My past self wanted freedom. My current self wanted slavery. A tie. A tie only Master could break. I wouldn’t be allowed to interfere. My vote has already been cast. “Thank you.”

“Another reason we will have loved you,” Drewchel said. “You will have always minded your manners.”

“We thank you for the tea,” Lillium added.

“We had looked forward to watching how this game played out,” Agala added.

With that, the sisters vanished and Brenda took a step forward. “Are they? Wait. Where did they go?”

“My glasses?” Victoria asked as she stumbled towards the ground trying to feel for them.

I smiled. “I got them Victoria.”

“What happened?” the Lady asked.

What next?
