To make lunch

“…let me make lunch for the two of you.” He states, walking over to the kitchen. “I can make something simple with the stuff currently out.”

“Thanks man!” I grin, sitting down on the floor next to the table I made.

“Would you like some help?” Emma softly asks.

Looks like she’s still shy, even after helping Asher out for an hour. Honestly, I think it’s adorable.

“Sure.” Asher smiles.

Emma gets up, walking over to Asher and into the kitchen. The two of them start making lunch while I start to zone out.

Making that table right after seeing the two people making out on television reminded me just how much I want to advance my relationship with Emma. I should’ve done something this morning before having to go to work. But now once we finish here it’ll be time for me to go work for the rest of the day.

The faint sound of giggling reached my ears, followed by a cute little “eep!”. There was a little bit of whispering, followed by more giggling.

I don’t hear Emma laugh too much, so Asher must be pretty funny. It’s not too long later that they finish lunch with some nice and simple sandwiches.

The three of us eat at the table with some slight chatter, and Asher does seem like a pretty funny guy.

After we finish eating we all leave his apartment. I start heading to my work while Asher and Emma head to theirs.

By the time I finally finish and make it back home Emma has already made it back, sitting on the sofa and watching the television with a giddy smile on her face.

It’s a few days later when the weekend hits and Emma tells me that we got an invite from Asher now that his living room is fully finished.
