Epilogue Ω

Crystal giggled as Matt examined her leg with a frown. She had been boosted for a few weeks earlier and was loving it, especially getting to spend time with all of the other boosteds. She loved fucking Matt and eating oatmeal and all of the fun activites she and the other boosteds did together. She even enjoyed her little accident the other day.

He poked at the bandage and a pleasant wave of dizziness overtook her as a delightfully intense feeling blossomed where his fingertip was.

"Whoo," she said with a laugh. "That feels amazing!"

Matt was still frowny. He was so frowny these days! He was so mad when she and Penny and Olive came back from their hike. He had started yelling about how clumsy and stupid she was, and he just got louder when she thanked him for the compliments. In retrospect they might not have been compliments, but they felt good to her all the same.

Just like her leg felt good. Matt said it was broken real bad, and that's why she couldn't stand on it. There was even a little white piece sticking it out. It had felt so crazy when Matt tried to bandage it that Crystal actually fell asleep. Now it was all shiny and swollen and looked really cool.

"Penny," Matt grunted. His wife flounced over to him happily. "Get her some water. I think she's getting dehydrated."

She nodded and skipped away without a care in the world. Earlier, after accident, he made her be smart for a little bit. He was asking her all kinds of questions and stuff about how and where Crystal fell down. When the phone rang and he answered it, he started talking really fast and kept saying it's fine and it's under control and you don't need to do that.

Penny handed her a glass of water and gave her a kiss. She tried to kiss back but for some reason she felt weaker than normal. She greedily gulped down the water, relishing every delicious drop. Matt was still frowning at her leg when the doorbell rang.

"A visitor!" Penny cried happily and Matt got even frownier. He got out a gun and went to the door. Crystal didn't know why he needed the gun. It's not like a deer had rang his doorbell! She laughed at the thought and her laugh turned into a wonderfully dry, hacking cough.

"...I need my consigliere again," she heard Matt tell Penny when the coughing fit subsided. He knew so many cool words! Penny furrowed her brow with concentration for a moment.

Matt and Penny cautiously approached the door. They whispered together for a few minutes before he opened it. He looked around like he was confused then picked something up and came back in.

"What is it?" Penny asked. She was so pretty, especially when she was being smart.

"A note," Matt replied gruffly. He opened the envelope and began to read.
