He opened the door slowly.

"Hey, Megan. What's up?" he asked tentatively.

"Hey, is everything okay? You didn’t forget about our study date, did you?" Megan asked, her voice filled with genuine concern.

"Uh, n-no, of course not. Just, uh… come on in," He muttered, cursing under his breath.

"Thanks," Megan replied, stepping into his dorm and slipping off her shoes. "Are you sure everything's okay? You look a bit off," she said, her brow furrowing with worry. "And on Friday, in class, I noticed—"

"Nope, everything’s fine," he interrupted, cutting her off mid-sentence.

"Okay, good, because this test is going to kick my ass if I don’t study more," Megan said, pulling her books and notes out of her backpack.

Seth tried to focus on her words, but his attention kept drifting. His thoughts raced, distracted by the way she moved, the way she spoke. He shook himself mentally, trying to snap back to the task at hand.

"All right well what should we study first?" she asked, pulling out her notes.
