April explains it all

April dragged the newly reminted tween to the car Lauren had stolen earlier. Now without a license she Lauren couldn't drive it legally, and based on her new government records she wouldn't be able to for a few more years at the earliest.

April straps Lauren into the back seat as she's legally to young and small to be up front. Once she gets in the driver's seat she sighs and pulls out of the station as she tries to explain what happened. "I didn't think it'd go so far so fast, but now we're both stuck in this."

On the ride home April explains how she and her friend had tightened Lauren's skin in such a way that made her look more childlike than ever along with getting rid of all of her post puberty body hair with more creams. Then of course the racist government official next door who used his access to legally strip away all records of Lauren's adulthood.

She was mortified. Her entire life had been taken from her. She remained speechless through everything and even as April pulled into the driveway of the home Lauren was supposed to be housesitting, she didn't speak.

April tried to get her to talk, but nothing. Lauren was stuck here, so April helped her up to her room. It wasn't particularly late, but with the day Lauren had, she needed to sleep. Hopefully tomorrow would be better.
