A few weeks later

With his search for an apartment coming up dry, Mr. Robinson has stayed with us for the last couple of weeks, and I've gotten used to having him around. He isn't instrusive, and he keeps to himself for the most part. Sarah has changed a lot in that time, though. She cooks and cleans a lot more, and dresses a lot better, all while still keeping up with her studies. She seems on edge whenever Mr. Robinson is around, which is understandable, but she hasn't complained at all about having him around or mentioned trying to get him to move on, which I really appreciate.

As for me, work has been busy. They've been having me stay late a lot, which sucks since I don't see Sarah as much. At least Mr. Robinson is there to keep her company. He seems to really enjoy her company, which is a surprising change from our high school days. A lot of the time when I go to bed, they stay up to watch TV together. I never knew Sarah liked spy thrillers so much, because half the time, the only sounds I can hear from the living room are **** and gagging sounds from someone being strangled in the movie, or the sounds of someone being slapped in a **** scene. They always go on way too long for my tastes, and I can always hear a woman yelp and cry during them, and women in pain always makes me uncomfortable, making me glad I don't have to watch.

I get home after another long shift at work. Kylie had a project she was really behind on, and she begged me to stay late to help her. None of the other office girls would ever help her out, and she said that one of our coworkers, Richard, had promised to help her out, but after a long brainstorming session last night at his house, apparently he went back on his word. We managed to get it done just in time for me to catch the late bus back home. My minty welcome home kiss reminds me of another peculiar habit she has picked up. She seems to have doubled, or possibly tripled, the amount of toothpaste and mouthwash she is using. Every time before I come home she has freshly brushed teeth, and every night where she stays up late, the first thing she will do is go inside the bathroom and brush her teeth. I worry a little bit about this new behavior and I'm looking for the right time to bring it up. Still, everything is normal at the apartment besides those few quirks Sarah has picked up, and I, along with Mr. Robinson and Sarah, are content with the way things are. However, something happens the next day that shakes things up.
