A Surprising Victory
It was closer than it had been if Presley had never chosen Mo. But still, Presley beat out committed Democratic opposition and a feisty libertarian, to win her conservative district. It was an upset in the moment, though of course history wouldn't remember it as such.
Presley's mother, Barbie, congratulated her daughter, and Mo, on the victory, and Presley shared a passionate kiss with her man on the dais. After he exited, listening to her speech, Barbie whispered in his ear.
"I think you should come spend Thanksgiving with us in Texas," she practically purred.
