"Are you able to teleport outside the castle right now?" you ask.

Niki approaches, as well as Bek.

"You all right there, lad?" the dwarf asks. "It looked like you fell."

"Just using a new power I've been temporarily given by Aris. I should be able to communicate with all of you with my mind now."

"Oh fuck yeah! Do you know how many generals would die to have a power like that? This multi-front war you want to lead will be twice as effective. I was worried, to be honest. We've got a lot of allies, and a lot of maybe-allies, all expected to do a lot of stuff relying on timing. Send the thought of battle directly into my skull and leave the rest to me."

"Can you, uh... read our thoughts?" Niki asks.

"No. Why? Are you planning to think something impure?"

"That's not why I asked!"

Poof! In a plume of black smoke, Yin appears, though she looks like she's still struggling to straighten out her maid attire. Her hair is a bit of a mess, which she's actively trying to comb back with just her finger nails. "I'm here, Master."

"You look happy," you say. "Thanks for coming. It looks like this power works after all. It seems to slot in perfectly with what I'm already used to doing, so with Aris inside my brain, it seems we found another trump card."

Fang, like the embodiment of speed, leaps deftly from rooftop to rooftop as she makes her way closer. Then with feline agility, she lands easily on her feet directly beside the group. Her eyes peer between you all--Peony, Bek, Niki, Yin, yourself--but she needs a moment to catch her breath. Her face is flustered, and not in the fun way. She places a hand against her heaving chest and takes a few deep breaths to calm herself. "It's the... Circle. They're at the... front gates."

"Geeze. You don't have to burn yourself out, Fang," you reply. "I'll go greet them."

"Aye. Where's the fire?" Bek jokes.

"In Avana!" she replies. "It's under attack."
