On to the store we go

After school I'm thankfully able to talk Jessica into giving me a ride to the store downtown, leaving out the details of the fitting room situation or anything that happened in the locker room. God only knows what those two would do with that kind of info. Arriving at the store, I'm surprised to see entirely women's swimwear and workout clothing in the display windows. Being that downtown is next to the beach and multiple parks, having an entire specialty store for this isn't strange, but where's the men's stuff?

"Are you sure this is the right place?" I ask Jessica as I get out of the car, still carrying my backpack from school "The coach was clear Id at least have something to wear that wasnt for girls"

"Dont worry, bro" Jessica says, patting me on the back "They're mostly for women but there's a corner where they sell swimwear and basic athletics wear for guys. My last boyfriend had to come here for his school too" Walking over to a bench outside the store, she sits down "The stores a bit cramped for my liking and the weather's great so Ill wait out here for you. Shouldn't take long to buy a swimsuit"

Thankful that at least Jessica wont be ogling me in my speedo, I head inside. Looking around I see almost entirely women's clothing but can see a few displays with menswear. There are six other customers, all women, walking around and browsing the store with 3 female employees. My hopes of having another guy help me are immediately dashed. While the older employee, likely the manager, is dressed in black slacks and a button down shirt, the other two that shes supervising are dressed very differently.

The first, a shorter girl with long brown hair pulled into a ponytail, is dressed in yoga pants and a sports bra. "Makes sense to have the employees wear clothes from the store. Advertises and saves money on uniforms I guess" I think to myself as I look at the second girl and quickly recognize Natasha, wearing a purple bikini top and a pair of denim shorts. "Even if its picked from the store, they let her wear that as a uniform?!" I think to myself as I walk up to the counter "Hey there Natasha" I say, smiling "Got yourself a job, huh?"

Natasha turns to look at me, returning my smile "Hey George long time no see! Sarah was telling me you transferred to the same school as her and Jessica now so havent seen you in forever" she leans back on the counter behind her "What brings you here? In the market for a bikini?" she asks with a smirk

I give her a small laugh, happy to see a friendly face after the day Ive had "Well not exactly. Need a swimsuit for school and the coach was nice enough to talk to your boss and convince them to make that happen"

Natasha's eyes widen "Wait YOURE the emergency fitting today?" she turns toward the older woman behind the counter "Hey boss, I know you wanted me to do that fitting you told me about for today but... I kinda know this guy. Is it still okay for me to do it?"

The woman lets out a frustrated sigh "Natasha youre the only one here trained in it besides me and I'm still backed up on paperwork. Do you not want to or what?"

Natasha shakes her head quickly "That's not it at all Id be more than happy to!" she assures her boss "Its just that with what it entails, I wasn't sure if Id get in trouble for doing the fitting for a guy I know"

Her boss laughs "Nat that's one of the perks of the job" she says, smiling "Dont worry about the front, Mia can handle twice this many customers without a problem and I can back her up here and there if necessary. Have fun" she leaves through a door behind the counter, presumably to the office

Natasha turns back to me, seeming a little flustered "Well never thought Id have you in here for this" she says with a small laugh "Follow me and we'll get you fitted"
