An unexpected guest

"Mazl, get in the bedroom." You mouth while pointing at her, then pointing at the bedroom. Being the clever girl she is, she nods and slips into the room, leaving the door open a crack so she can hear what's going on.

Finally, you answer the door without opening it. "What do you want?" You begin.

"May I come in?" Emily's muffled voice replies.

"No. AWIO's done enough damage to our lives." You say.

"Is Aurora here? Josh Meyer sent me."

Now that's a name you didn't expect out of that girls mouth. You decide to issue the challenge. "No. Aurora is dead."

"But the Phoenix always rises from it's ashes." Emily replies. You look back at Aurora. She nods and you finally unlock the door, allowing her entrance.

"The only reason you're here is because of her." You say, nodding to Aurora. "Now what do you want?" You ask.

"So. What Rachel and Josh told me is true.. Nice to meet you Aurora. Even though I'm just a worker, Rachel is the only human on the board of directors. We couldn't believe the story he told us, so he told me to come... here." Emily says.

"Well, someone at your precious AWIO got me fired from my job, sent a SWAT van to our old apartment, and that's on top of discarding Aurora and mistreating Mazl. AWIO's not exactly on the list of our favorite places." You reply with a scowl.

"I know. Where is Mazl by the way?" Emily asks.

"Dead. She didn't make it, no thanks to you. She seized up after your first visit, miss nutrient paste. You had no right. You had no idea. I finally had fed her a first proper meal in a long time. Then you come along, souring her mood. She heaved everything up after you left and mentioned the paste. I tried my best to support her... But that was the last straw for her and her body. You killed her. AWIO killed her. The best I could do is give her a proper burial and cry over her. I loved her. Showed her respect, kindness, and asked for her consent. You? Did nothing like the sort. If I took over AWIO, there's gonna be some major changes." You say.

"Gosh... I'm so sorry Jack. It wasn't my idea, you know. Came from higher. But now, I killed a monster girl. One that I was praying for every day to find a sponsor. I can't get over that. Mazl... I'm so sorry. And that vision you have? We need someone like you to clean us up and lead us. Rachael and I are behind you." Emily states.

"Mazl's blood is already on your hands. So prove it. Get us a full listing of all names and email addresses in AWIO. Get us any network diagrams. Plug in this USB stick we give you, save it there. Then run the program that's on the drive on your AWIO computer. Do this, and we'll believe you. You have 72 hours. If you don't complete by then, we ghost." You say.

"Make that 48. AWIO moves fast when properly motivated." Aurora chimes in before tossing you a USB drive.

"You heard her. Now get moving, clock's ticking." You say as you press the USB stick into Emily's hand and show her back out the door.
