Chapter 508 by lew54321 lew54321

Do you recognise her?

Overdue Invitation

You had been trying to keep an eye out for the woman you had seen from the pictures, glancing at many of the women who had come and gone from the gym and never seeing the one you were looking for. But the person you didn’t expect to see standing there was Rebecca, already wearing a gym outfit as it looked like she had gotten changed at home.

“Miss Ryan!” Jessica greeted, looking happy to see that Rebecca was standing there.

Rebecca had smiled as soon as she had seen you but now that she had been recognised by another student, she tried to put on more of a professional act that she would do like she did at school.

“Ah. Jessica. Max. I didn’t know you both worked here” Rebecca replied, directing her attention more towards Jessica than you.

You hadn’t known either until only yesterday but you realised giving her a heads up after inviting her to take a look around might have been for the best, not having even thought about it with everything that had been going on recently.

“Yeah I’ve been here for a bit. Oh but don’t worry, It doesn’t affect my…our school work or anything. See?” Jessica added, holding up one of the papers you had just finished and acting more flustered than you had expected.

The fact that Jessica was acting similarly to how she did around Sarah and Grace when she was nervous told you that once again she probably had a bit of a crush on her teacher, a fact that told you her type in women was probably quite similar to your own.

The outfit Rebecca was wearing wasn’t anything too revealing but the way it hugged her body was certainly enough for your eyes to wander, not having seen Rebecca in any sexual situation for what felt like weeks. Even if it had only been a few days. She wore some lycra leggings and a tight tank top to match, the straps of a sports bra just poking out on her shoulders.

She was still avoiding looking at you for the most part and you could tell that she was trying her best to stay calm, the little looks bringing the slightest of blushes to her cheeks when she saw that you were undressing her with your eyes, focusing more on Jessica who was still trying to keep the conversation about working here going.

“So what brings you in today?” you asked, getting a scowl from Jessica as if you were interrupting her precious time with her teacher.

“Ah well a f-friend recommended this place and I was hoping to sign up or at least get a look around the place if that was possible.” Rebecca answered, thinking on her feet to edit her version of the truth.

“Sure we can! I mean… We should probably check in with our manager first but…” Jessica responded, instantly wanting to accept Rebecca’s request before she thought about it a bit more.

“Oh if it’s that much trouble then I’ll just…” Rebecca said, trying to politely decline.

“Ah it’s fine, she was just down here recently and I honestly don’t think she would mind us asking. You would have met Grace anyway when she visited the school with Emma anyway” you replied, cutting her off before she backtracked too far.

The name ‘Grace’ seemed to make Rebecca’s eyes widen and especially after mentioning Emma alongside her did she connect the dots of who she was. It wasn’t immediate but you could tell that mentioning another one of your subjects was enough for Rebecca to think differently about potentially meeting them, making her now try and play off what she had been saying earlier.

“Well if you think it’s okay then…” Rebecca mumbled, her mind now focused on a new goal.

“I’ll get her!” Jessica announced, shooting up from her seat when she realised she’d have an excuse to go and bother Grace.

The speed at which she got up briefly startled you and even Rebecca looked like she was going to take a step back, acting more reserved and staying still while she was in public.

Jessica quickly left the front desk and headed for the stairs, briefly slowing down when she nearly tripped at the bottom but then going back to a high speed without even caring about the risk.

That left you with the briefest moment alone with Rebecca where you felt like you needed to clear the air.

“Sorry for not warning you about Jessica. I only saw that she was working here last night and I didn’t think to message. Sorry” you replied, feeling remorse and not really knowing what to say.

Rebecca however showed the opposite reaction compared to you, smiling down at you and even taking the chance to lean forward onto the desk, her cleavage now prominently on display in an outfit that any guy from school would have loved to see. And apparently some of the girls if Jessica was to give her opinion.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you this apologetic before. It’s kinda cute to be honest” Rebecca replied, taking the rare opportunity to tease you instead of it being the opposite way around.

“But yeah, don’t worry about it, we do have a lot going on this week” she added, cutting you some slack.

Seeing that she didn’t seem to mind that you hadn’t kept her updated, it felt right to try and tease her back in the little time you had left.

“Yeah it does feel like it’s gonna be busy. Especially with what I have planned for you tomorrow night” you commented, trying to state it as matter of factly as you could.

You couldn’t help but let the facade slip when you saw her reaction and then she immediately recovered when she saw you were joking, her cheeks flushing slightly as if her body was catching up to what you had said.

“Please don’t add any more stressful thoughts. I’m already panicking about it” Rebecca admitted, straightening up and looking over her shoulder towards the stairs.

You felt apologetic again and it felt like this entire conversation had just been each of you feeling better or worse as you both reacted to each other’s expressions, this time Rebecca seeing you look sorry and once again smiling in your direction. You could even see her eyes brighten up when she saw you were genuinely concerned before you spoke.

“Don’t worry, trust me. I think everyone is a bit nervous so you aren’t the only one feeling like that. But if it does get to be too much, just try to get my attention and I’ll make sure you can either spend a moment by yourself or I can give you an excuse to leave.” you replied, wanting her to feel comfortable given that she was going to be a guest in the house.

You could tell she was appreciative even before she spoke but you both heard the recognisable sound of Jessica almost rushing down the stairs, slowly followed by much more relaxed footsteps as Grace came down from her office.

How does the meeting go?
