A walk around town.

"The weed can wait Chloe. Can't we wait until we've been shown around the place before you started floating?" Max asked as she crossed her arm across her chest.

"Right, right. Town tour first, then weed."

Max rolled her eyes "You're ridiculous."

"But you love me anyway." She then pulled Max into a side hug and kissed the top of her head.

Alex smiled slightly as a gold and pink glow surrounded the two girls. "They really love each other" Alex thought to herself. "Right, let's help you guys get your bearings."

They exited the black lantern and Steph took the lead in showing the arcadia girls around. Chloe got a little held up in the record shop but refrained from purchasing anything right away. The last stop on the tour was Charlotte's dispensary where Max got a few joints for Chloe.

"Don't smoke them all at once." Max told her partner as she gives her the bag.

"Yes ma'am." Chloe said as she slung an arm over Max's shoulder.

They were heading back to the lanturn when all of a sudden, out of nowhere a car came speeding down the road, while Alex was still in the road! She didn't have enough time to move back and the car rammed straight into her. Steph screamed out in agony as her girlfriend was run over and almost by instinct Max reached her hand out and time moved back a few seconds.

Not many, just enough.

As time resumed Alex stepped onto the road again but this time, Max was ready. Her hand shot out and grabbed her by the back of her shirt and pulled her back onto the street as the car raced past.

"Holy shit! That car came out of nowhere!" She turned to Max "Thank you, you just saved my life."

"How did you know that car was there?" Steph asked as she rushed over to Alex's side to hug her

"Umm, it's best we wait until we get back to the lanturn." Max told her. "I'd rather not have any prying ears listen."

Steph raised an eyebrow but obliged, made sure the road was clear before they all crossed. Alex saw a purple aura form around Max and wonders what is troubling her so much so she dives deeper.

"How the FUCK am I going to explain to these guys that I'm a time traveller?!" Alex hears in Max's heads.
