Chapter 2 by Usherbot Usherbot

What does Jerry do next?

He tries to sell the book, but no one buys it

After settling into the house, taking out my pc setup, desk, and chair, I immediately go up to the attic and grab the mysterious book that I hid behind my own moving boxes. Thankfully, it was still there when I moved the boxes out of the way.

With a huge grin on my face, I hurry down to the living room and turn on my computer. As it boots up, I take my phone out and snap a picture of it. As I look at the photo I just took, I’m confused by these wired purple lights around the image. I know my phone is old, given to me back when I was a senior in high school, but I never had photos that looked like this before.

Anyways, I pull up EBay on my phone and computer and log into my account. I maintain my excitement as I quickly make a page for the book, feeling that $100,000 seems like a good price to start out with. Even if I’m underestimating the amount, $100,000 is still a fuck ton of money.

As I finalize the auction page, I hear what sounds like a whisper in my ear. I quickly turn to where the noises are coming from, a chill running down my spine. But I look around and see nothing out of the ordinary.

Weird, must’ve been the wind…

I get up from my chair and walk to the window behind the flat screen tv. What’s weird is that the window is fully shut, so I can’t imagine any wind getting inside.

The book~” I hear faintly from back at my desk. I jump a bit as the sound seems almost too real for it to be a the wind. I walk back to my desk, but before that I close all my windows and close all the blinds, just in case a creep is whispering to me outside my windows.

After that, I spend some time at the computer, playing games and checking E-mails as I keep my eye on the EBay listing. So far, no hits or even views on the page. I imagine there would at least be a couple people looking at it, but throughout the night not a single person even saw the listing.

After a long 4-5 hours, and the time strikes midnight. A bit disappointed, I turn off my PC and walk up the stairs into my bedroom and lay down. It feels weird owning this house and still sleeping in my childhood bed. With the book on my nightstand, and the lights turned down low, I quickly drift off to sleep.

What happens on the next day?
