Not by choice

Mona wakes to her alarm. She is tired but not too bad. Last night didn't even compare to a cram session. She forces herself up as she needs to catch her mother during her morning coffee otherwise would have to wait till after breakfast was cleaned up. Her mom might not be like Robbie or her dad about cell phones but she believed in not allowing them at the table while eating or to distract her from cleaning. She was yawning hard and stretching her arms when she is caught before falling down.

She looks at her father with a face that still looks unaware and apologizes, "Sorry for running the wall," Mona jokes.

Her dad, Mark, still works hard to keep the body he earned from the military. Being a father at a very young age had shaped him into viewing that to provide best for his family required him to be conscious of his physical and mental health. He does feel cell phones rots the brain. Not literally but because it disconnects people. He shakes his head at seeing Mona has her in hand. Mark gives her a hug and informs her, "I tried to step out of your way but you moved right back into me. Did you need a hug that bad?"

"Ha, ha, real funny. I was up late with Robbie so a little tired. I wanted to talk to mom as she volunteers today and I am going to the movies with Xandria and Lisa."

"Ok, sweetheart. I will let you get going but is giving your dad a hug that bad?"

With a smile, Mona hugs her dad again. She tells him she will be down in a few minutes while ignoring the question which causes her dad to chuckle. She goes around him to step into the bathroom. Mona only spends a few minutes doing what she needs. She will do her whole morning routine after breakfast. She can't take the chance that Angel asks Mona's mom to delete the pics by spending time doing that.

Mona makes her way to the kitchen past her dad on his laptop at the dining table. He doesn't even glance up as he preps his day. As she enters the kitchen, she can see her mother is about to start breakfast.

"Hey, mom, can you wait a moment? I was wondering if you would send me the pics from last night. I figure will go through them and make an album to share with Robbie." Mona says as she moves up to hug her mom.

"Oh, that is a wonderful idea, sweetie. I was going to do that when I have the time but if you do it then give me access as well," her mom replies as she puts the eggs next to the stovetop. She moves to her phone and sends the photos she took last night to Mona.

"Thanks, mom."

"Thank you for doing the work. Do you want to help me more by assisting with breakfast?"

Mona doesn't but she can't say no easily. Her parents have done so much to support her. She nods her head.

With Mona helping, her mom is able to get things ready faster so it is not long before she asks Mona to go wake Angel up. She tells Mona that Angel asked to be awakened for breakfast as needs to adapt to the time change.

Mona checks Life Questers to see she has a new quest. She smiles as she knows Robbie gave her something she already was going to do. Easy peasy. She stops in hallways to make sure she has the right photo selected. She zooms in to get a good look at Angel eyes closed and mouth open. Mona can't help but giggle. She sets it up so only take her a moment to share it to Angel.

*KNOCK! KNOCK!*

Angel feels like she is in fog when she hears the knock. It takes her a moment to understand what a knock means. She feels so tired and wonders why someone is knocking so early.

*KNOCK! KNOCK!*

"WHAT?" Angel shouts which shows how out of it she is. Angel snaps awake at that. She growls at herself and tries to untangle herself from the sheets like she rolled them around her.

"Just a moment, please," Angel says loudly. She finally is able to stand up but wraps a sheet around her because she feels like she was in a sauna and her clothes are damp with sweat.

Her smile as she opens the door drops away when she sees Mona.

"Mom sent me to tell you that breakfast will be ready in a few minutes as you asked to be told."

"Ok, I will be there be there after I change," Angel says as she goes to close the door.

Mona stops her and smiles at Angel. Mona holds up her phone, "I have the group photo from last night and wanted to share it with you. You are very precious in it."

Angel is not really about to figure out why that doesn't seem like a something she should be happy about. She grabs her phone and asks Mona to send it.

Mona's phone chimes after she hits send.

Angel automatically gives Mona a smile and says, "Thank you."

Angel's phone plays a whip crack which makes Angel frown as she has never seen that sound on her phone. She would never use such a vulgar sound which is even worse.

Mona can't help herself and starts laughing when she hears the sound. That gets Angel moving and she closes the door. Mona laughs and loudly reminds Angel to check her face. Mona heads back to breakfast.
