Week 1: Wacky Wednesday (The Date)

Serena went back to her room to see Crystal sulking over her loss in the tournament.

“Hey Crystal, are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m just disappointed by the results. I could’ve gotten more points exploring the resort than by playing this game.”

“True, but there was always a chance that you winded up with nothing. We went because we wanted the chance to win those points. Furthermore, I believe the events were created to give everyone an opportunity to interact with the master of the resort. His presence is required for the event to happen in the first place.”

“You have a point. However, I kind of forgot he was even there since I couldn’t see him the whole time.”

Serena smirked, “I think that was to everyone’s benefit. People could interact with the master privately without too much interference from everyone else.”

Crystal's eyes narrowed in suspicion, “What did you do?”

“What do you think I did? I simply pleased the master.”

Crystal grabbed her phone and checked the rankings to see Serena’s new position on the leaderboards.

“I can’t believe it,” muttered Crystal.

“What can’t you believe?”

“I can't believe that you were having sex with Max within walking distance of me,” responded Crystal with a sigh.

“We couldn’t go crazy or anything since I wasn’t sure if the barrier around the tiki hut was soundproof. We would’ve been interrupted or worse.”

“Worse?” asked Crystal in confusion.

“They could’ve ruined the mood. There’s nothing worse than getting horny and being about to get off only to be interrupted by an outside party.”

Crystal frowned, “I think that I’d be more embarrassed about being caught than worried about not getting myself off.”

Serena smirked, “However, almost getting caught has a thrill of its own. Don’t you think?”

“I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that you think that way.”

Serena shrugged, “You know me well enough already. However, you’ll have your own chance to be alone with Max tonight since it's your date night tonight.”

“I won’t be seducing him tonight.”

“Of course, that’s for future dates, right?”

Serena winked as she saw that Crystal ignored her and left the room.

Brianna met up with Lisa back in their room with a smile on her face.

“Hey Lisa, we both won the top two spots in the tournament.”

Lisa smiled, “Yeah, but I feel that was more because Nicole and Gina weren’t a strong team. Gina wasn’t as athletic as I thought she would be. I wonder if that means she doesn’t move too much normally.”

“We don’t know much about Gina. The only things we do know is...”

Lisa replied, “That she’s a horribly human being and mother. The only way to know anything more is by wasting a question in the purple glitched door’s dimension or talking to Gina herself, and I doubt she’d be forthcoming with any truthful information unless it benefitted her in some way. It’s not like we need much information on her since she’s clearly disliked, if not hated by Max, and is on her way out of the game as things stand.”

Brianna frowned, “I have a feeling that things aren’t going to be that simple.”

Lisa frowned, “Yeah, people will do crazy things if they think they’re being cornered. On a lighter note, what did you do to please Max? I saw that your points went up when I checked the leaderboards after the tournament.”

“I got my points through my transformation. I helped pave the way for Serena to have some alone time with him, though I’d prefer to have some time alone with him myself.”

“I’m sure that your date night will come soon, though considering that Ann is picking the order, I wouldn’t put it past her to push you further down the list to make things more interesting. However, that’s only if she’s paying as much attention to everyone as I think she is. I can’t tell how much or how little she watches us since she barely interacts with anyone at all, and with all the magical things that go on in this resort I question if she’s even here at the resort.”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean is she even on this resort with us, or are we just seeing an avatar of hers that she controls from a distance? Maybe, it's not even an avatar but an illusion that we believe to be real. We’ve never actually touched her to know for sure.”

Brianna frowned, “I never thought about it like that, but you make a fair point. However, there’s no reason to be suspicious of Ann considering that it doesn’t matter if she is here or not. It still doesn’t change our situation or what we have to do to win.”

“No, but I think it’ll be useful to know if we want to take advantage of her.”

Brianna looked around the room with concern, “That’s a very dangerous game you’re thinking about playing Lisa.”

“Possibly, but our points allow us to gain special abilities to interact and directly affect the other contestants. Gaining one that would be able to affect Ann if she’s around would be very useful if used correctly. Don’t worry about it too much right now. I don’t have enough information to go through with it, and I only have enough points for one permanent transformation.”

Brianna relaxed a bit, “Lisa, please be careful. Ann has already demonstrated that she has control over various things at this resort, and I don’t doubt that she will punish you if she even thinks that you’re manipulating her. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if she heard this entire conversation already.”

“It’s entirely possible, but that’s a risk I’m willing to take. Also, I doubt she’s watching us 24/7.”

Brianna nodded, “Let’s move on. The less we talk about it, the better. You were talking about getting a new transformation.”

“Yes, I decided to get the 1,000 BP upgrade. It will allow me to upgrade any transformation I have.”

“Are you sure that you want that? You’ll be making the clothing aspect of the transformation worse.”

“Yeah, but the more BP I can get, the more things I can buy in the store,” Lisa responded, though what she really wanted was to improve the hidden aspect of her transformation.

Lisa bought the transformation and watched as the text of her transformation changed.

Brianna nodded before buying her own permanent transformation.

Lisa raised an eyebrow, “Telekinesis? I thought you were going to get a flight based on what Max told you.”

“I was, but then I thought about it and figured that I could use my telekinesis to fly once it's strong enough. Plus, I’ve always wanted the ability to bring my tools to me while I was working on something instead of having to stop what I was doing to search for the tool that I needed.”

Lisa smiled, “As long as you're happy with it, then I have no complaints.”

Nicole returned to her room after her shower to see Jessica already relaxing in bed with a book in her hands. It was unfortunate that she wasn’t able to convince her to join the event, but at the very least she stuck around for a while before she left.

Nicole got into her bed and pulled out her laptop from under her pillow. She immediately opened it up to start working on her project once again. She still had some time left in the day that she could work on it, and she wasn’t completely exhausted by the day's events. However, it might make her code slower than usual. She worked on the project in silence as Jessica read her book. The only sounds in the room were the movement of paper as a page was turned and the soft clicks of the laptop as buttons were pressed. Eventually, Jessica was the one to break the silence between the two of them.

“Nicole, why are you working so hard on your laptop?” asked Jessica as her eyes briefly glanced at Nicole before going back to her book.

Nicole stopped typing before answering, “I wanted to create some programs that will be able to help everyone and find more information about this place that will be able to benefit everyone.”

“How would you do that?” questioned Jessica as she lowered her book onto her lap.

“There are two programs that I’m creating. One will help with everyone’s safety by creating a personal lock on the phones so that hopefully no one other than the owners of the phone will be able to use it. As it stands, as long as someone steals or gets their hands on someone’s phone, then they can use or take all of their BP for themselves.”

Jessica frowned, “It sounds useful, but that won't stop someone from breaking into the phone. If they are determined enough, then they’ll find some other way to break through it anyway.”

“Possibly, but that’s another obstacle they have to deal with to make it happen. I’m hoping that its existence will be enough of a deterrent that’ll stop people from thinking about doing it. There’s nothing that can truly make it impossible to get into since magic and supernatural abilities exist here and are constantly being used around us.”

“It sounds like you’re simply hoping for the best.”

Nicole smiled, “A little. I’m cautiously optimistic about it. However, the second program is the more important program of the two.”

Jessica looked over at Nicole with curiosity, “What is it?”

“You know that my transformation allows me to analyze the code littering the walls, so I’m able to see that the various functions of the resort are all based around this special kind of code. It might be better to think about it like a video game. Everything you see in the game is made up of code, and that code determines what everything is and how it functions. I’ve been analyzing it and writing up my code that should be able to connect with it. I’m creating a virus that should be able to infect the resort's code and give me access to information that I normally wouldn’t know. For example, there are treasure chests scattered across the resort, so the virus as long as it's infected enough of its code would be able to inform me of its locations. If everything goes to plan, then it's possible that the virus won’t just be able to find and give me information, but able to manipulate the things in the resort too.”

Jessica was shocked by what she was hearing, “That’s impressive. When do you think it’ll be done?”

Nicole turned thoughtful, “I think I’ll be able to finish it by Friday night if I keep working on it like I have.”

Jessica nodded before turning back to her book. Nicole thought she looked more relaxed than before as she turned her attention back to her programs. She needed to complete Project: Safeguard as soon as possible.

Max returned to his room after the beach volleyball event and was met with Ann sitting on his bed.

“Hey Max, I saw that you had a fun time today. I see that you’re taking your role as a master seriously. I never thought that you could be so bold as to have sex in public,” said Ann with obvious amusement.

“Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. Did you come around to talk to me or laugh at me?”

“Why not both? There aren’t a lot of interesting things going on right now considering that the beach event just ended and I just wanted to check in with you,” responded Ann as she laid back down in the bed.

“What made you do the beach event in the first place?”

“I wanted some more excitement. No one was making any serious moves, so the event was a way to brew some competition among other things.”

Max raised his eyebrow, “I’m sure the privacy of the tiki hut was to encourage people to try their luck with the master as well.”

“Who knows? Maybe it was simply a lucky coincidence or a way for you to have some privacy. You know not everything I do is to persuade you to have sex with the other contestants.”

“How often do you watch everything that’s going on? You were clearly watching them when you popped into existence to suggest the game in the first place.”

“You say that as if you weren’t watching the meeting yourself. That TV is such a useful tool for spying. I would’ve preferred if you used it to pleasure yourself though. Maybe, I wasn’t watching them but watching you watching them.”

Max sighed, “Maybe, I should be asking you when you are not watching me.”

Ann smirked, “That would give the game away too much. Besides, I’m on your side. I chose you as the master so you can be happy. Please don’t forget that.”

Ann popped out of existence as Max thought about how he’d have to continue being as careful as possible to get what he wanted out of this game.

Crystal went up to the elevator in casual clothes consisting of a t-shirt and jeans for her date with Max. She didn’t feel the need to dress up fancy for her date with him. She didn’t like wearing dresses in the first place. It didn’t take long for the elevator door to open, and to see Max in some casual clothes of his own as he welcomed her inside.

“Hey Crystal, how are you feeling after the tournament?”

“I’m good, though I’m a bit tired of being pushed around by this game.”

“I’m sure your luck will turn around. At the very least, you got something for your troubles. Jessica didn’t bother to participate at all, so she didn’t get anything.”

“Thanks, but you don’t have to try to cheer me up.”

“I was being honest, but what do you want to do with our time? I’m open to any ideas you might have.”

Crystal wondered what they should do on their date when she found the case filled with video games in the corner.

“Why don’t we play some video games? I see you have Mario Kart over there.”

“Are you sure you’re ready to lose, then?”

Crystal smiled, “Let’s see if you have the skills to back up your claim.”

Max smiled, “I can’t wait to see how you’ll react when I claim first place.”

Max set up the console, and the two of them competed against each other. Max won about 60% of the games, but Crystal couldn’t help but feel that this was a nice change of pace from everything that went on for the past couple of days. They relaxed, played games, and chatted about various things. Max ordered the maids to bring in some pizza for them to eat for dinner. Overall, she had a great time spending the evening with Max before the two of them headed to bed for the night. They each went to their sides of the bed, and it wasn’t long until both of them were fast asleep.
