The captain and her mate

It's a scifi flick in the style of Star Trek with a female captain and a romantic bent. Being a software nerd you'd always been a fan of science fiction but not so much romance. To your surprise however the romance angle was what you focused on today. You found yourself annoyed with all the space antics when what you really wanted was to know whether first mate Jacob liked Captain Jessica the same way she clearly liked him. Either way you didn't make it more than half way in when your eyes fluttered shut and sleep overtook you.
