Family dinner, sort of

Vel was displeased to see his father present for dinner. He wished he would have known ahead of time that he would make one of his rare appearances, so that Vel could have made sure to leave some loads in some of their family members. He consoled himself with the knowledge that, while his load might no longer be in her, he had been fucking the man’s wife just a little while ago. And she was pregnant with his child. As were most of the man’s daughters. Suddenly, he was no longer all that displeased.

Soon, Lord Luthor was the displeased one. He had no doubt expected to control the conversation, as he usually did, but that didn’t happen. Vel and his pregnant harem kept lively chatter going, happily talking and laughing together. Vel might not be able to see his father’s mind, but his expression made that unnecessary anyway. The consternation was clearly visible.

Dina on the other hand seemed happy, no doubt relived to not be on her own with Vel and his harem for once. Where everyone else only gave Lord Luthor short or basic replies and didn’t ask the follow up questions he was no doubt expecting, Dina hung on his every word. Dinner thus kind of became split into two separate camps. Vel and his pregnant women and Lord Luthor and Dina had their own separate conversations going for most of it, and soon enough there was little interaction between the two camps.

Once again, Vel felt the power dynamic in the family shift. Usually when his father was present for a meal, the conversation went wherever the old man wanted. The twins would keep mostly silent, and the others wouldn’t be much more involved in the conversation. Lord Luthor would do most of the talking himself, which was clearly how he liked it.

While he might be unable to access his father’s mind, the rest of the family was a different matter, and Vel decided to have a look and see how they felt about this new mealtime situation. Unsurprisingly his women were happy about it, his mother especially seemed to take some spiteful pleasure in her husband’s dismay. Lynn, while mostly happy, clearly was a bit saddened by Dina’s continued exclusion. She would have liked for the whole family to be happy together. It seemed she did not count Lord Luthor as part of that family though, which pleased Vel greatly. Adi and Ella were thrilled and having fun, the younger of the two clearly doing her best to just not think about the strange split situation. He was unable to see Dina’s thoughts the way he could those of the women open to him, but her emotions were still solid indicators. She was happy and relieved, which was no surprise, but Vel also saw renewed confidence. Their father’s presence had seemingly brought out some of the old Dina again. How long that would last remained to be seen.
