Coffee with an Old Acquaintance

Barbie sat in the diner booth fully aware that everyone's heads kept turning back in her direction to steal another glance of the naked porn star in such an ordinarily mundane environment. She didn't mind that though; in fact, she quite enjoyed it. While the other glitches had all found a way to tolerate being permanently naked over time, she was the only one who had truly embraced it. First of all, she loved being the centre of attention, and hadn't put all the time and sweat keeping her body in such immaculate shape to hide it away. Secondly, the feeling of power it gave her was incredible. She knew every straight guy who saw her would do anything she asked, and that every other woman wished they could ever get the attention for their partners that she did when she walked past. If not for it being a bullshit pathway to Naked and Willing, then NA might actually have quite suited her.

On hearing the kind of excited reaction that indicated another naked hottie had entered the building, Barbie looked up from her coffee to see not Cassie but Chantelle. She was surprised, but not completely shocked. Maybe Cassie found a way to play her the message after all and if that were the case it was only logical she would want to meet Barbie in person rather than via a messenger. As Chantelle sat down, she played things as cool as possible.

"Can I get you a coffee?"

"I don't plan on staying long," Chantelle answered as she sat down opposite the former glitch leader. "I just wanted to say, before we discuss other matters, that what happened before wasn't personal. I always liked you, Barbie. But I have a job to do.”

"How much are they paying you?" Barbie reacted coolly to the not quite apology.

"Upwards of twenty million dollars…"

That did cause Barbie to raise her eyebrows in surprise, but she picked up her cup and sipped without saying anything else.

"So, the sound file you wanted Cassie to play me. What were you hoping would happen?" Chantelle asked in a neutral tone. "That you could flip NAs agent and have me work with you to take them down?"

"The thought had crossed my mind," Barbie smiled a little. "I'm not as stupid as some people think. I know you have to make compromises to get what you want, and it's NA I want to take down, not you…"

"I have always admired your pragmatism," Chantelle looked quite impressed with this answer.

"Does that mean you are in?"

"If the conversation I heard was real, then sure," Chantelle waved away a waitress who tried to interrupt to take her order. "But I didn't recognise the voice. Who was that you were speaking to?"

"A recruiter named Ken…"

Chantelle already knew that was the name of Barbie's recruiter, but that didn't mean it was him on the recording.

"We don't have any recruiters named Ken…"

"I'm guessing it was an alias, on account of Barbie…"

"Cute. Or maybe it was one of your actor friends?"

There was a slight pause as the conversation reached a slight stalemate before the NA Agent spoke again.

"Okay, how about we make a deal. You take me now to meet this Ken, and if your story doesn't check out you leave Salt Lake and accept defeat graciously."

"And if it does?" Barbie enquired, still maintaining a poker face.

"Then, I will help you fuck him over like you wouldn't believe. How would that be for a start?"
