After a bit, I figure some modifications wouldn't do any harm. I don't want to screw up, of course: This is my mom after all... So let's start with something I already know she won't mind. Something like a harmless prank, even?

I focus, and mom lifts her phone up, screen-toward herself as she takes a selfie - just as I planned. A silly thing. I bet my phone'll buzz with the picture just after I unfreeze - as if 'she' is the one playing a prank here.

Honestly, I look forward to it: The tight black camisole leotard she's got on today is quite sexy, and I just know she's going to take a good picture with a better view than my doorcam can provide.

But is one little prank enough? My gut tells me any changes I make to the prompt can't be undone - only rewritten - which a quick test of the change I just made confirms. And I can't guarantee I'll ever see it again, which I probably won't, so I don't want to ruin the good relationship my mom and I share with something stupid...

...so that leaves either something she'd appreciate, or something that won't change much. It'd be a shame to close the prompt after a single change. It feels weird, so I seriously consider what my second change will be.

As for the change itself, I think Paul's mind has just about given up on trying to track his 'old' reality and is just going with the flow, after all the hammering it's taken. At the moment in the narrative he doesn't want to do anything too big, but please keep in mind that doesn't mean you can't do it anyway.]
