Where is the ring?
Not in Clara's place where I left it
The fear and anxiety **** me to run, I saw Kat but couldn't process why she was here and my mind was too flustered to think about it. I just ran. Ran all the way to Clara's place. My mind constantly spinning. Hopefully the ring was there, probably in a pile of stuffed animals, or at least I thought it would be. I was afraid Clara may have thrown it away.
Wait, Clara wouldn't do that? God damn the fear in me was just so strong and aimless. I found myself afraid I would trip or people were starring or various other things but I just tried to push it all away and focus on the core goal, the ring. Putting it on could end all of this. I ran inside and found the general direction the stuffed animals were and dove over there. Tossing them around while looking.
"Tessa!" Clara shouted. "Be careful!"
"What?" I shouted as I looked at her in a panic.
"You might hurt them!" she said.
Fucking fuck. I was afraid it was something serious. "I can't worry about that now," I said.
"He punished you, didn't he?" she asked.
"Yeah," I said as I felt tears building up. "Pretty harsh one too."
"Let's move all of them onto the couch. If you throw them, you may throw the ring too on accident," she said.
I stopped. She made a good point. I just nodded to her and we began moving the stuffed animals one by one. It took about ten minutes but they were all on the couch and the floor was clear. Nothing though. Maybe I already threw it? Maybe it bounced? What if it was gone. My mind began to panic as it concluded I may be stuck like this when the doorbell rang.
Opening it up, Chloe came in. "Hiya! How is the happy fiance.... oh you don't look so well," she said.
"What do you want!" I shouted.
"Would you believe I was coming to see if you'd invite me to the wedding," she asked.
"There absolutely isn't going to be a wedding, and even if there was, as if I would invite you!" I shouted.
She rubbed the top of her head. "Yeah, kind of figured. Why I made sure to ask your parents yesterday. They already said they'd call me," she said with a smirk. "So, seriously, what gots you all in a fit?"
"She lost her engagement ring," Clara said.
"Oh frick, he would punish that. You know when I said you were speed running losing this game, I meant it as a joke, not a suggestion," Chloe said laughing.
"If I am already gonna lose my mind, I don't have much to lose," I said clenching my fist.
"Wait wait! I have a solution for you!" she said.
"What's your aim?" I asked.
"Okay okay, see my flight got delayed and I didn't actually get a hotel, so I was hoping to crash here tonight. See how my favorite 'toy lover' was doing and all. I didn't expect you to be here," she said.
"Help her," Clara said. "And you can stay the one night."
"Sweet. Knowing him, he would want to just wear the ring, he paid a pretty penny for it after all," Chloe said chuckling "But you lost it, so you can't. Meaning your punishment is just constant right? Well, he likely didn't say it had to be that exact ring, he said something like 'your engagement ring?' Am I right? Cuz if I am, all you need is Kat to give you a new engagement ring and that should work."
"How did you know that?" I asked.
"You really aren't getting this whole, he trained us to be expert at critical thinking thing are you?" she said as her stomach rumbled. "So, we good Clara? Got anything to munch on?"
I grabbed my phone and texted Kat. I needed her to come fast. My brain was slowly melting down.
Is Kat Busy?
