They're asked to strip to their underwear

"Hello, ladies," the dressmaker greeted them both, "I hear you've come for a fashion show."

"Uhh, yeah!" Carol tried to sound as cocky as she could while still being friendly enough to the staff, "we'd like to have our measurements taken for these perfect dresses."

"Ooh! Lovely..." the dressmaker squealed in excitement, "well, then, let's get started. Please undress."

"Un...dress...?" Lauren asked in puzzlement. After a lifetime of buying made-to-measure, this was her first experience with someone else measuring her.

"Yeah, usually we prefer it when people go all the way naked, but a lot of people just stick to their underwear," the lady chirped back.

It appears Lauren wasn't the only one caught off guard, as she and her daughter exchanged uneasy glances. The two only had spanx and padded bras for undergarments, and hoped that the lady wouldn't notice how artificial their bodies were. Sighing, they went about undressing, grateful that at least they did not have to get naked.
