What's next?

A surprise inspection for Harris

Harris woke up once again to a brand new day, though this time he felt excited as if there was some important event day he was excited for. Though for the life of him he had no idea what it was, he kept trying to figure out what exactly he was looking forward to as he ate his breakfast and got ready for work.

Even on his jog to work he was still trying to figure out what had him so excited, but once he was in the office he had to let it go and focus on his assignments. His work at a shield data facility while boring was important, and every data entry had to be done correctly; otherwise, it could cause a whole heap of problems later when things started to not match up.

Eventually though, Harris made it to lunch, and his thoughts once again went back to what event he was looking forward to so much but couldn't recall exactly what it was. Harris was distracted from his thoughts when some of his coworkers turned up the volume on the TV so they could hear the news better as they talked about a recent fight between rhino and spider Gwen.

Harris didn't really care because super fights were a dime a dozen and could happen several times a day, not to mention the fact that Spider-Gwen had gotten him arrested by mistake. Though he was interested for a few brief moments when they talked about some Photoshop that someone had done to add spider legs to Spider-Gwen during the fight that looked realistic, eventually Harris lunch was over, and he put it out of his mind and focused on his work.

Eventually, Harris workday came to an end. Just as he was heading out the door with his coworkers, he was stopped and asked to have a last-minute talk with someone high up in shield who had just shown up looking to go over a few things he had put into the database today. Which was strange as upper management almost never came down to data storage.

Harris became a bit worried he was in trouble, but understood that these shield agents, even the bosses, could be called anywhere in the world, so whoever they were really just could have been late for some meeting about data they needed to know. Instead of him being called in for doing something wrong, Harris was still a bit nervous as he walked into a back office to meet with this upper agent.

He walked in and, to his shock, saw it was Mrs. Ramonav, better known as the black widow. She was sitting at a desk looking over some of his latest data entries. "Come in, Harris. I just need to talk to you for a bit." Romonav said, not looking at him. Harris walked in distracted as she was in her classic black spy suit with the zipper slightly down, giving Harris a good look at her breast.

"Um sure, mam. What did you need to talk about it?" Harris stuttered out as he tried to focus on Black Window's face, but his eyes kept wondering to her boobs despite himself. Which she probably meant to happen kept him unbalanced for whatever she was going to ask.

"Nothing much, just needed to go over a few data entries and see how you're settling in." Romanov said her eyes never leaving the screen as she looked over Harris's work. The two then went over Harris's filing for the last month or so to make sure everything was right once they were done, and it was clear Harris had done everything right; he got up to leave the office and finally head home.

"Wait, before you go Harris, it says here in your file that you were prescribed some medication. Is that still working alright for you? I just have to double check." Romonav said he was finally looking at him instead of the computer screen, and once Harris looked into those ice blue eyes, he felt compelled to answer.

"Yes, the medicine has been working alright; no problems that I know of. Just some weird messes when I wake up that I hope are from cold sweats." Harris answered honestly to the question, despite whether it was a violation of privacy or not. As figuring, telling the elite spy the truth was better than a lie that could lead him into very deep trouble.

"Alright, good to hear. While you have a nice day and a happy weekend, Harris." Romanov said with a smile, sending him off. Harris wished her a happy day as well, and he raced back home feeling like he needed to be there for whatever was great that was supposed to start happening to happen.

Meanwhile, Mrs.Romonav began to make plans on how best to keep an eye on Harris because there have been spottings of an insectoid man flying around, and Shield had a file that said Harris used to be one, and his insectoid form matches the description. So she had been sent in to see if he is this insect man that is haunting the skies and, if so, to deal with him.

So how does the night go?
