Melanie's Miscalculation

Melanie was practically shaking with anger as she put the phone down, not just with Cassie but even more with herself. How could she have been so naive as to just believe everything a complete stranger told her. The truth was she had been so **** for an ally that she had just taken everything the red haired stranger had taken at face value.

True, it seemed most if not all of what Cassie had told her about NA was true, but if she worked for them she would know. Maybe she had risked spilling a few secrets to gain Melanie's trust while she sent everyone of her friends to Naked Forever. Melanie had known Sophie a long time and had never known her to be anything other than honest with her. It was possible her friend was mistaken but there was no way she was lying. Mel had to assume the worst with Cassie. Shit, was she even really unable to wear clothes or did she just undress in the car before she arrived to make the ruse seem authentic? Not wanting to deal with the irritating sound of John and Anna fucking at a time like this, Melanie went and shut herself in her room.

It was quite a while later when there was a knock on the door. The sex sounds had quietened down a few minutes ago She assumed Anna had left and John was now feeling a little sheepish for clearly enjoying sex with another woman quite so much.

"It's fine, you can come in!"

Rather than John, it was Anna who walked into Mel's room.

"He fell asleep on your sofa" Anna smiled.

"Typical" Mel quipped back halfheartedly.

"Yeah, so, I just came to say goodbye"

"Goodbye Anna. I'll see you tomorrow. There is a lot we need to talk about"

"No, I don't mean that" Anna seemed happy but mournful at the same time "I'm going to Naked Forever. Maybe I'll see you there sometime?"

"What?!"

"I'm up to 90% now, I'm ready to make the leap" Anna reasoned "When you told me to fuck your boyfriend I felt a little hesitant at first but I went for it and, well, I guess that was the extra push I needed"

Those words cut Melanie like a knife as she suddenly realised what she had done. By fucking John because she was to Anna wasn't being dominant over John, she was being submissive to Mel! It may as well have been a challenge from the app!

"Please don't do this!" Melanie begged.

"It's already done Mel!" tears were forming in Anna'a eyes "Don't make this any harder than this is. You know how much you mean to to me. Without you none of this would have ever happened. I was bored, unsatisfied and in a complete rut. I didn't really have any confidence in myself, I always played everything so safe because I was scared what people might think if I didn't. I feel like a changed person now. I'm ready to take the next step to being truly happy"

There was the dreaded sound of a car horn outside. It was time for Anna to go for good. There was no point in Mel trying to talk her out of it now. It was to late for that.

"Good luck!"

A tearful Mel ran and threw her arms around her friend, not wanting to let her go. The pair kissed briefly, but passionately and then, without another word, Anna was gone. Not able to take another blow like this Melanie collapsed onto her bed sobbing uncontrollably. But once this moment had passed she knew she was going to turn the sadness to anger and every ounce of that rage would be aimed towards Naked Ambition like a cannon ball. If Cassie really did still work for them, she had better watch her fucking back.
