“You should not be this far forward, Father. It is not safe.” Vel kept his eyes on the ongoing **** but smiled at his daughter’s stern tone. She had always been very protective of him, sometimes overly so. He could have changed that, changed her, but in truth he appreciated it. His daughters were all completely devoted to him by their very nature, there was rarely a need to use his powers on them. He saw no need to change their individual personalities, all of which he loved them for.

After Lily repeated her warning, Vel finally turned to her. “And who will be able to harm me from this distance, my sweet Lilly? I am a god in the flesh, even if there is someone among them who can harm me, they will need to get a lot closer than this.” His daughter’s beautiful, pale, and slightly freckled face scrunched up into an adorable frown that was incredibly reminiscent of her mother. Lily was very different from Ella in a variety of ways, but her parentage still shone through clearly. “I still do not like it, Father. There is no need for you to be here, it’s an une-“ Vel held up a hand and her mouth immediately snapped shut. Concerned about his safety she might be, but she would never even entertain the notion of disobeying him. “I appreciate your concern for me, Sweetheart, and how seriously you take your job, but remember who and what I am.” Lily nodded and kept silent, but still did not look entirely pleased.

Perhaps it was time to try a different angle. “And should there be any assassins sneaking up on us, well, that’s what I have you for.” Lily smiled at him at last, outwardly confident, but Vel could feel a bit of doubt in her. “Sweetie, I have complete confidence in your abilities. And perhaps more impressively, so does your aunt. There’s no way she’d have signed off on you leading my personal guard for this excursion otherwise. You know what a hardass she is.” Her smile widened. “She is a strict and demanding commander, that is for sure.” Her smile vanished and the serious expression returned. “And she’d chastise me for not being vigilant enough were she here.” Her eyes went back to monitoring their surroundings.

Vel loved how severe she was, how stern. It was so completely unlike her mother, the softest little cutie this world had ever seen. Where Ella was short and a bit plump, Lily was tall and slender. As tall as her own father, no less. And she had an incredible gift for the blade as well as a natural way with horses. Like her eyes, those were definitely things she had inherited from him, not Ella. From Ella though she had gotten her hair, her cute mannerisms, and her caring nature. She just showed that she cared in a different way. Him, her mother, her aunts, her sisters, Lily had always sought to protect them all. She had always been a guardian at heart. It was only natural that she served in his personal guard. “I love you, Lily.” His daughter’s face blushed a deep red, again reminding him of her mother. Her severe and stern nature could sometimes let her come across as cold or aloof, but she was as dependent on her father’s love as all her sisters. “I love you too, Father.”

A loud crash pulled both of their attentions back to the ongoing ****. A fully armored giant, wielding a maul carved out of a single piece of rock, was smashing through a part of the city’s outer wall. “Fuck, I am so glad they are on our side.” There was awe in his daughter’s eyes as she beheld the spectacle. Vel nodded. “As am I. They would be a challenge to deal with, even for me.” They lapsed back into silence, watching as their soldiers streamed into the breach created by the huge figure. That was it, the city would fall. “I believe that is all I need to see. Let us retire to my tent, my love.” Lily was happy to comply.

“Mmmmhhhh, Daddy loves how tight you are, Sweetie.” Lily moaned under him, too overwhelmed by the pleasure of her father making love to her to reply.
