Relationships are sometimes difficult…

Sarah: "Tom, I need to talk with you".

Tom: "What's on your mind?"

Sarah (voice shaking): "When was the last time we had sex? Two… three weeks ago?"

Tom (nervously): "Well…"

Tom felt a pang of guilt as he remembered Sarah's words, yet he couldn't help but wonder if she had talked with her friend Ann about their seemingly lackluster sex life. A quiet, dangerous anger simmered within him as he recalled her words.

Sarah: "Tom, I've spoken to Ann, and she told me they have sex almost every day!"

Tom: "Sarah, every time I approach you, I'm met with 'not in the mood'".

Sarah: "Well, your usual 'approach' isn't exactly Romeo and Juliet. It's not like I'm suddenly going to jump into bed with you just because you look at me funny!"

Tom: "And what do you want from me?"

Sarah: "Be more romantic… put out candles, I don't know... kiss me instead of looking at me like you told the biggest joke and shit your pants at the same time".

For the first time, Tom felt truly angry with Sarah. He left the bedroom and slammed the door of his office. For the first time in his life, he didn't think about his wish. He put the ring on his finger.

Tom: You want kisses, you'll get kisses.

His wish came through very clearly and loudly: "I want the passion in Sarah to be ignited by a deep kiss".

Stashing the ring in a drawer and leaving the room, Tom felt regret. Why had he done it? How could he let his feelings overwhelm him so much?

He returned to the room. Sarah was sitting on the bed. She turned her head and looked at Tom. There was a deep sense of guilt in her eyes. She shouldn't have been so blunt about it. He sat down on the bed and kissed her. She was stunned at first, but then reached up and kissed him again. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders.

Sarah (smiling): "I told you just a kiss would work".

Tom: "You were right".
