Tilly's date

Tilly set her phone down. Ok, she needed yet another goal. Fuck. Ok, she decided to worry about that one later. She still had to take initiative and treat herself, whatever those meant. And this date which her app was going to arrange for her. Fuck.

Ok, initiative, she can do that. She decided to send a message to Luna. That job had been stressful, but it had made a lot of money. Maybe she could do something like that again...or at least just asking would probably satisfy the quest. She quickly typed something about before she lost her nerve, Hey Luna, thank you for the opportunity yesterday. I am looking for more work if you had anything else or knew or other opportunities that I would be good for. Thanks again, Tilly.

There. Sent. Even better her phone chimed, _Quest Complete. Reward $100. _She blinked and found a crisp $100 bill in her hand. Hmm...that did lead to her next quest. It had been a long time since she'd treated herself. She pulled up her phone again and in a few minutes had made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure at a nearby spa. It would cost all of her reward and a little bit, but she was already looking forward to it.

She half expected her phone to chime again, but it didn't. She supposed she hadn't actually treated herself until she'd gone. She found she was locked out from her tv and her streaming services so she sat down and read to pass the time until her appointment. She was getting back into reading, but she also really wanted to catch up on her shows. Maybe the app would give her that as a reward. She concentrated, hint hint app if you are listening in.

Before the appointment she made sure to dress nicely and do her makeup, couldn't be caught being lazy after all. Then she made her way to the spa and soon was enjoying her first treatment in years. She'd forgotten how nice this was. She made some small talk while the beautician worked on her, but didn't really pay much attention. She even zoned out towards the end and didn't realize the woman had finished until she stood up.

"Oh, wow. Thanks." Tilly said to her. She followed her to the counter and paid for it. Her phone chimed but she waited until she was outside before checking.

Quest Complete - Treat Yourself - Reward - 1 hour of television. Yes, I am always listening.

Well that's a little creepy, Tilly thought, but par for the course. 1 hour wasn't much, but oh well. That was all her quests for the day except this mystery date, oh, and setting another goal of course. Her phone buzzed again, but it wasn't the app. It was a text from a number she didn't recognize.

Hi Tilly, it's Alex. I'm super stoked for our date tonight. I made a reservation at Sakura for 7. I'll wait for you outside.

Tilly sighed. She really didn't want to go on a blind date. Especially since she knew this guy had been talking to the Taskmaster App posing as her. Wait...was Alex a guy? She didn't know what would be worse actually. Well at least her quest didn't require her to take him, or her, home and fuck them. Just go on the date. She replied back.

Hi Alex, I'll see you there.

There, that was fairly non-committal, right? She didn't want to sabotage things from the start, but also didn't want to lead him on. Although she suspected the taskmaster had already lead him on enough. She re-read his message. Who says stoked anyways? She hoped he wasn't some frat bro.

She stopped at the grocery store on her way home and got a few things. She wanted to have a small meal beforehand in case she had to bail in a hurry. She made it home and had her quick bite, then took a shower and started getting ready for her date. Knowing the app required it, she put a lot of effort into her appearance. She even selected a low cut dress that showed off her ample bust and was short enough to show off her newly toned legs. She checked herself out in the mirror, "Holy fuck I'm hot." She couldn't help but say aloud.

The restaurant wasn't far from her apartment so she decided to walk. She chose a pair of heels and almost immediately regretted it. Still by the time she was ready to bail on the heels she didn't have time to make it all the way home and back so she persisted onwards. She saw someone standing outside of Sakura looking around like they were looking for someone. When he saw her he smiled, "Tilly! Hi, I'm Alex." He offered his hand and she took it.

"Hi Alex." She smiled at him. Ok she might not want this blind date, but at least the app had picked a hot guy. He was tall, maybe 6'2" or so. Not exactly muscular, but he looked like he was in good shape. He had a wonderful smile and his hand felt so soft. She found herself staring at him as they shook hands.

"Uh...shall we go inside?" He asked awkwardly.

"Right, yes." Tilly said. She let him lead her inside.

As they approached the table he pulled out her chair for her, and helped push her in. He seemed really sweet and polite and Tilly was starting to get comfortable. They had some small chit chat as they waited for their server. The first red flag came when he ordered **** for her. Tilly really didn't drink and hadn't been planning on ordering wine. Still she figured she might as well. She didn't say anything and took a sip of wine when it came.

The second red came as they talked while waiting for their food. She quickly got the impression he was a little self centered. He spent the whole time talking about himself, never asking anything about her and barely letting her get a word in edgewise.

Still she persisted. Maybe he was just nervous. He kind of gave off that vibe. And what he did say about himself was quite interesting. He worked as an architects and told her all about the cool projects he'd been on. She wasn't sure if his insistence on paying was a red flag or not. She didn't have much dating experience, but he seemed to get really aggressive when she tried to pay half that she ended up dropping it altogether.

Finally the date was over and Tilly just wanted to go home. He wasn't a bad guy per say, but she didn't see them going anywhere. As they walked out of the restaurant together she felt a sharp pain in her foot, "Ow!" She cried out.

"Are you ok? What happened?" Alex asked.

She sighed, "These stupid heels. I'm fine. Maybe I'll just take a taxi home."

"Oh well I drove here. Let me give you a lift." He said with a smile.

Somewhere in her brain a part of her was shouting no, but she was just tired enough, and just drunk enough, to say yes. He helped her to his car and moments later they were off. Of course this meant she had to give him her address, but at least she didn't have to say what apartment she lived in. It had been a short walk and it was an even shorter drive. Soon she was home.

"Well thanks for the lift." Tilly said, grabbing the car door handle.

"Aren't you going to invite me in?" Alex said with a grin.

Tilly shook her head, "No. I don't think so."

"But I paid for our date. You owe me."

Tilly stared at him in shocked, "Excuse me? I don't owe you anything."

He laughed it off, "Come on. I'm just messing with you. But what happened to the flirty girl I was messaging with on the app? I thought you wanted to get laid."

Tilly tried the handle but it was locked. She felt a little scared now, "Unlock the door. Now."

"Tilly just think about it. I'll make you feel good. Promise."

"Let me out now or I'll scream." Tilly warned.

He scowled, "Fine bitch. Get out. No wonder you're single." She heard the click and immediately opened the door and stepped out. He didn't even wait till she was all the way out before he started reversing, causing her to fall down on the asphalt. He gave her the finger as he reached over to pull the door closed, then he sped off.

Tilly was shaken. She stood up and brushed herself off. Well Taskmaster if you are always listening then what the fuck? Tilly thought. That guy was bad news and that's your fault. You put me in danger!

Her phone chimed with a response, You were never in danger. He would have been prevented from harming you.

Tilly shook her head, That doesn't make me feel better. He scared me.

The phone didn't chime right away, but eventually it buzzed, Understood. He was selected because he was attractive and had a large penis. Will recalibrate.

Recalibrate...great. So the app wasn't going to give her back control, just pick a different guy? Tilly sighed. Well where was he reward anyway?

Tilly groaned that's it? How about something useful? The phone didn't reply. Fuck, her head hurt. She went inside and up to her apartment, barely taking the time to undress before jumping in bed and falling asleep. As she drifted off she left her phone open on the nightstand. It was unlocked and open on the Taskmaster App. A notification was flashing. You have 1 incomplete quest. Set A new Goal - Deadline Midnight. Warning, failure to set goal will result in punishment and allow the Taskmaster to decide.
