“I’m good, how’s Raph?” Keira asked.

“Oh god, dad!” Josie said suddenly, before running off.

Keira got up and surveyed the area. The stone man was in a pile of rubble, as he had shed his stone skin after being taken down. He was still huge, unlike Raph, who grew, he seemed to only be encased in the stone skin, much like Keira and Hope. His skin was a dark shade of ebony, a few shades deeper than Raph, and he wore his hair in braids. The braids must have been covered in stone, and pressed into his neck, because she hadn’t noticed them during the fight.

Glancing over, she saw Josie on her knees checking on her father, with Raph not far from them. Keira was surprised to see Hope and Landon entering the hall from the way they had come. “You got here fast.” Keira cocked an eye in surprise.

“Landon flew me.” Hope shrugged.

“So lucky.” Keira giggled, causing the young man to blush.

“What happened?” Hope asked, as Michael who had been hiding around the corner, made his appearance, and hurried over to Josie.

“Stone guy, beat up Alaric, and Raph, and Josie and I had to put him down.” Keira shrugged walking over to Raph.

“Nice job.”

“Thanks.” Keira replied. “Hey bro, you okay?” She asked kneeling next to him. Raph opened his eyes and stared at her, disorientated.

“Beth.” He groaned, pointing to the office.

Keira spun around and dashed through the broken door, to find her friend. Laying amidst a shattered table, she found Beth lying broken, in its rubble. “Josie!” She cried out in panic, as she leaned down and checked for a pulse. Josie and Michael came sprinting into the office, to see the carnage before them. Michael gently pushed Keira aside and placed his hands on Beth’s shoulders. “What are you doing?”

Michael ignored her, as red energy surrounded his hands, and seemed to slip inside of the blonde’s limp body. Josie gently laid a hand on Keira’s shoulder. “Siphon can move the essence of life from one person to another?”

“Like a vampire?” Keira asked confused.

“He can move it either way, in this case, he’s using his life **** to heal Beth.”

“Oh.” Keira murmured surprised.

Beth’s eyes flickered open and locked on Keira’s. “Did you save me?”

“it was a group effort.” Keira smiled.

“You saved your princess.” Beth murmured, before falling asleep.

Michale looked up at them and held his hands up, to ward off her confusion. “She’s fine, she just needs rest.”

Josie gently picked up her sister, and with Michael’s help they went off to put sleeping beauty to bed. Keira found Raph, Alaric, Hope and Landon standing in a group. “So, what just happened?” Keira asked Alaric.

“He claimed to be a student looking for a college. Said he was an alter, and heard we take his kind in. Beth interrupted us, and he freaked out and became violent.”

Hope frowned at him. “That’s twice.”

“I know, and it gets worse, but we’ll deal with it tomorrow.” Alaric nodded. “You all get some rest, Keira, after breakfast tomorrow come to my office.” Keira cocked an eye confused. “You’re not in trouble.”

With a shrug, she led Raph back to their dorm, and made him comfortable. She applied ice to his face, and torso, where he had taken the most damage. Siphon appeared to have given him a touch of healing, but most, he would have to do on his own. Later she would bring him lunch and dinner, though he wasn’t hungry. Finally, after he had drifted off she went to check on Beth. Josie answered the door in an oversized T-shirt.

“I just wanted to check on Beth.” Keira smiled. Josie smiled and let her in. Beth was deep in their bed, buried in her thick blanket, smiling at her. “How are you feeling?” Beth frowned, trying to figure out how to respond. “Pampered, but don’t want it to stop?” She asked, causing Beth to nod brightly. “How about a platonic three-way cuddle?” Keira offered, causing Beth to light up further.

Beth glanced at Josie who nodded. “Yes please.” She giggled.

Josie and Keira sandwiched Beth tightly, giving her love and cuddles, which further delighted the beautiful blond girl. The next day she was like a ray of sunshine. She seemed to thrive off affection, and last night had given her more than her normal dose. Getting dressed the three of them went down and got breakfast, before Keira headed for the office. Surprisingly, the girls decided to join her, but she wasn’t going to complain. Hope was there as well, standing off the side like she was wont to do. The three of them took their seat and waited to see what he had to say.

“You okay Beth?” Alaric asked concerned.

“I’m fine daddy.” She nodded.

“This is the third issue we’ve had, and it feels targeted.” He began. “Students have been going missing at the local college, Hope and I were attacked by a woman who had laid a trap for us, and yesterday that man attacked us. I don’t know if it’s all related, but we need to find out. I’m sending the four of you to the school, to see if you can find out why people are disappearing. Can you do that for me?”
