What race/class does Vanessa select?

Half-Elf/Rogue

After confirming her choice of a Half-Elf Rogue, Vanessa's view got blurred and then reformed into a typical fantasy tavern. Vanessa looked down at her body. She was wearing a corset-like leather armor which consisted of a base which was made up of leather armor plates which seemed like they would actually protect her, plus a bra-like top part which was seemed to be made out of much thinner leather, held together by a lacing, all of which seemed to be doing a much better job at showing off cleavage than providing protection against damage. The costume also included a cloak and a shortshort hung on a sheath on a belt that held up her tight leather pants, which were of as thin leather as her breast cups.

As she looked around, the tavern was bustling with activity. People were chatting animatedly, music played softly in the background, and the smell of ale and food seemed to fill her nostrils, but she was probably just imagining it. Vanessa felt a thrill of anticipation course through her veins as she took in the vibrant atmosphere around her. She walked over to the bar, which had a mirror behind the bartender. Vanessa saw the reflection of her character, which looked very much like herself in real life, except she now had pointy ears.

As Vanessa took a seat at the bar, the bartender approached her, his eyes glinting with curiosity.

"What can I get for you, miss?" he asked, his voice deep and smooth. Vanessa hesitated for a moment, unsure if she wanted to drink anything. Suddenly she remembered this was just a simulation. Some scruffy adventurers who were leaning against the counter turned their eyes to her, more specifically to the cleavage of her leather armor. One of them, a burly man with a bushy beard, winked at her and said, "You look like you could use some company, dearie." Vanessa gave him a cold glare before walking away from the bar. There had to be a quest board or some similar mechanism to choose your next quest and get the hell out of this crowded tavern. As Vanessa walked around, she noticed a board with quest parchments pinned to it. Excitedly, she approached the board and began reading through the available quests. One caught her eye; it was about retrieving a lost heirloom from a nearby dungeon. The quest seemed perfect for a rogue like her. Vanessa picked up the parchment. Her wrist HUD lit up briefly and showed the text: "Current quest: Retrieve a lost heirloom" next to a minimap guiding her to the starting point of her chosen quest.

As Vanessa prepared to embark on her new quest, she felt a surge of adrenaline course through her veins. The prospect of exploring a nearby dungeon and retrieving a lost heirloom was an exciting one, and she couldn't wait to get started. Vanessa quickly left the tavern and stepped out onto the main street of a small village. The village was quaint and peaceful, with cobblestone streets and quaint little shops selling various trinkets and knick-knacks. Vanessa checked her belonging and realized she didn't have any money to make purchases with anyway, so she made her way to the dungeon's entrance, located at the edge of the village. The entrance to the dungeon was marked by a large stone archway, adorned with intricate carvings of ancient runes and symbols. Vanessa approached the archway cautiously, her eyes scanning for any signs of danger or traps.

Suddenly, a small twig snapped behind her, and Vanessa spins around, ready to fight. Instead, she found herself face-to-face with an elderly woman carrying a basket. The woman looked at her, surprised, then smiled.

"Forgive me, miss," she says. "I heard you were going to fetch the lost heirloom in this dungeon. Allow me to gift you with some potions that may help you on your quest. The woman handed two flasks to Vanessa and disappeared as quickly as she had appeared. Vanessa studied the potions. Each had a slip of parchment around the neck. One read: "Potion of Stealth. Temporarily boost your stealth". The other said: "Potion of Distraction. Create a short lasting distraction for nearby enemies, improved chance of critical hits".

Vanessa felt a wave of gratitude wash over her. It was clear that the villagers were not only aware of her quest but also supported her. She put the potions into her pouch. They seemed to disappear looking from the outside, but opening the pouch again, she could see they were there, and the pouch seemed to be much bigger on the inside. Vanessa proceeded to the dungeon entrance, readying herself for whatever lay ahead.
