Does He Land This One Punch?
No
Miranda looked up and saw Billy lunging towards her with a potential knock out blow. This was it, she knew she was close to losing. But something had lit a fire in her today. The extra confidence had her adrenaline pumping through her body, but she had to work quick.
Acting on instinct, she ducked his punch as he just narrowly missed her face and grazed the top of her head. And then she saw it, the golden opening. In his effort to end the match as quickly as possible, he had left himself open to a counterattack without protecting his body. And in her current position, she could take advantage of this mistake.
She stretched her right hand forward into his stomach. She thought it would end up being a warning shot, but her loaded gloves meant it was much more than that. She moved forward and raised her guard up while turning back around to face him. She expected him to follow up with some attacks of his own. But instead he wobbles on unsteady feet towards the wall where she was and rests with his back against it.
Miranda looked towards him shocked. They had fully switched positions now, with him with his back to the wall and her standing in front of him. More than that, it seemed like he was completely winded from her punch. Did she do this? No. There was no way her punch could do this much damage. But the results were right there to see.
"Come on Mira keep going!" She heard her aunt egging her on. Heather probably didn't think she was going to win, but she certainly hoped her niece would put up a good fight. And Billy looked very hesitant now when he was in complete control. It looked like the tides were turning in her favor.
She was now emboldened. She hadn't felt this confident in forever, and she was convinced she actually had a chance at winning.
"Not looking too good Billy, did my dainty fists do that to you?" She taunted him with her girly voice as she stood ahead of him, but he could only groan in pain as he laid back against the wall, the only thing keeping him upright. "I'll take that as a yes," she giggled. "Unfortunately I'm not done. Time to finish this!"
Miranda moved in with a solid right hook that shook his brains, followed by a left one that rattled him. He felt the power behind those punches. The gloves were loaded, but his brain didn't care. All he could think of was how he was being battered by this little girl. He was nearly **** and rapidly approaching his most humiliating defeat yet.
Mira saw the look on his face and knew immediately what it meant. She had him right where she wanted him and he was her's for the taking. Heather was biting her lip while on the edge of her seat. Could she really do this? Beat Billy the boxing champion? Sure she herself had done it before, but little Mira? She didn't have to wait long for her answer.
"Take that!" Miranda threw a punch straight at the middle of his face, driving him straight back. This was it, she had knocked him out. His legs gave out on him as he rebounded off of the wall, falling forward onto his knees, where he got one final good look into his opponent's tits, a painful reminder that had just lost to a woman. He stayed there for one second, saluting her victory over him, before falling face first into the ground at her feet.
She knew enough from her training to know she was winning, but she hadn't yet grasped how significant this was. She thought this was a fluke. Billy took it easy, or she got lucky, or this was all part of the normal match proceedings. But her aunt knew the truth.
Heather jumped up from her seat in disbelief. There was no way he was knocked out cold again! Boy did he really have a glass jaw. He just lay there spreadeagled on the ground. "No way, he's surely down for the count!"
the count. Mira remembered hearing about the count. They start from 1 all the way up to 10, and before they're done the fighter gets back up and they continue. Hold on though, what if they don't get up. Right! If the fighter can't make it up by 10, he loses. Wait, was Billy down for the count? Pride and Joy overtook her as she realized she was going to win. She breathed heavily and looked over to Heather for confirmation.
Heather didn't hide her excitement as she smiled back at her and started counting her son out.
"1." This was actually happening.
"2." She couldn't believe it.
"3." Billy didn't stir one bit
"4." She had him right where she wanted him
"5." He just lay there at his younger cousin's feet
"6." Beaten
"7." Defeated by her in his sport
"8." Humiliated by a nerdy little bookworm
"9." She had knocked him out
"10." He was done for. His reputation would surely never recover now.
"Your winner by first round knockout, Mira!" Heather walked over and raised her niece's hand, signaling her victory.
Miranda had a huge smirk on her face as it was made official. She had already known she was smarter than him, but now she could also say she was the better boxer. She had walked in her a shy freshman, but now she was a boxing champion. How pathetic Billy looked laid out on the ground at her feet. For shame.
How Does Miranda React?
