Erodius (love potion route)

"The end product will be called Erodius," Violet said proudly. "However, there will be a few steps until we get there." She shoved the vial into my hands. "But right now all you need to do is drink."

Erodius, I thought. That doesn't sound particularly worrisome. Violet has made many questionable decisions, but none that resulted in any permanent injuries. That I know of.

With her expectant gaze fixed on me, I quickly drank the vial. It was warm as it passed down my throat, but the sensation quickly ceased. I tried examining my body for any changes like extra fingers or sudden gills, but came up empty. Violet was busy writing down notes on a clipboard.

"So, um, what was that?" I ventured to ask after a few minutes.

"Phase 1," she announced as if it were obvious. Then she brought out what appeared to be a regular bottle of water. "Now please spit in this."

"Um. What." was all I could reply. Violet rolled her eyes. "Phase 1 was to attune your body's hormones to the compound. Increasing the binding affinity for dopamine, serotonin, oxytonic and others. Now we just need to collect your hormones into this bottle."

She swirled the bottle, and I could see some fine dust in the water. Violet continued, "We could also use your blood, or even vaginal secretions for extra potency. But there should be enough sample in saliva for this. So please, spit into this bottle."

I know I said I'd do what was asked of me, but there was no way I'd give her my blood, or other secretions. This seemed like the best bet then, since there was no way to talk Violet out of something once she decided upon it.

So I turned away from her, out of a sudden weird sense of privacy, and spit into the bottle. It suddenly began to shine dimly, before quickly fading back into a seemingly normal bottle of water.

I turned to Violet, concerned, but she just continue to write on her clipboard. "So um, that's it?"
