Ben looked down the street and saw one of the bodyguards had just rounded the corner. He turned quickly but saw the other one, he was trapped again. Just then a black car with dark tinted windows pulled up next to him. Ben tensed trying to decide which way to run when the window of the car rolled down and he saw a middle-aged man sitting there.

“Get in the car now. I’m from the Guild.”

Ben didn’t hesitate and was in the car as quickly as he could get the door open. He had no idea who this guy was or what the Guild was, but it was better than dying on the street.

The man said, “I’m Tony, the director of this city for the Impregnator’s Guild. I couldn’t get to the center quick enough to catch you before you left.
