World of Terra

The lifeless corpse of a young girl lay in the freezer of the Taint City Morgue West. A glowing miasma of light slowly surrounded the body causing alterations to occur. It stretched to 5ft6in and filled out the flesh, hips to 39in, waist to 28in, ribcage around 31in, and bust to 44in(bra size 34J for those interested). The skin tone colored from lifeless white to warm ivory. Any hair that was on the body fell off and evaporated into nothingness and only from the head did fuchsia pink hair grow thin eyebrows and 20in from the scalp that flowed around her.

Sadie awoke on a hard cold surface. She breathed a hard loud gulp of air as her lungs started for the first time and she arched her naked back before falling back flat on the stainless steel metal. She was surrounded by total darkness.

Terra is one of Earth’s parallel worlds in the infinite multiverse that is chronologically ahead. The land while mostly the same is somewhat different. Among its differences in the course of history were the evolution of vampires, beings of long life who drink blood and have a sensitivity to the sun. Vampires are made, not born, and have a natural propensity for controlling Aether. These creatures are the secret, not so secret, rulers of the night.

The Catholic Church, having its power lessened due to vampire intervention, wielded less power than on Earth. Hence there were little to no witch burning’s, and homosexuality was viewed as God finding them unworthy to bear children. This saved the lives of many as well as ending the lives of those claiming to be gay: since falsely claiming homosexuality was a **** sentence for centuries. That practice has long ended.

Without the witch burnings, knowledge was able to spread faster and technology rose earlier. Hybrid ships of steam and sail were developed and the continents of North and South Columbus were discovered by the Europeans. Sailers found an easy way to the East as the country known as Panama on Earth had longvago sunkbin the ocean creating a coral reef thay has become protected at one time. The natives of those lands were conquered and enslaved, then later freed as the Church condemned those practices. African slaves were not widely sold on North Columbus.

Several revolutions happened with many monarchies across Europe and the Asian continent were toppled. The revolution in North Columbus gave way to the United States of Columbus, which spanned the entire continent. The Republic of China became an actual republic with 3 political parties, socialism, capitalism, and communism.

When Aether first came to Terra, entire nations collapsed and new leaders rose to power. The System saved humanity from Aether mad beasts and remained active until the Aether beasts eventually became stable. During this time a foundation of Aether runes was developed which introduced Aether tech to society at large.
