Politely refuse
I quickly averted my eyes and shook my head, trying to snap out of my daze.
“No, I’m fine here,” I replied, mustering as much courage as I could.
The orc woman chuckled and laid back on the bed, closing her eyes.
“Suit yourself. And don’t worry, little human, I won’t harm you. However, if I were you, I’d get some rest... you’ll need it,” she said with a hint of amusement.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I was supposed to be her prisoner, yet she acted as if I was her guest. And what was with the whole “get some rest” ordeal? Was this some kind of trap?
I decided to play along for now and closed my eyes, pretending to sleep, but it didn’t take long for exhaustion to catch up with me and I drifted off into a restless slumber...
