Chapter 1199 by Fiftyfiftyfifty Fiftyfiftyfifty

What do you do?

Confront Vivi.

You find Vivi leaning wistfully over the short stone wall overseeing most of the village atop the castle roof. Beautiful yet adorable too, just as always, her pale white hair glows beneath the light of the sun barely piercing through clouds in the sky. Her short yet modest figure is garbed still by a cute witch's outfit with a short skirt trimmed with triangular cuts along the hem to give it a darker, more Spirit Halloween vibe, though it isn't like she would know what that would mean. She wears boots now, which reach up to her thighs, and are black with thin orange trim. Upon closer inspection, they're decorated further by the tiny stitched face of cats upon bottom and near the top, where tiny ears even protrude. And as always, she wears a big, pointed black hat atop her head.

By her posture, you can spy a hint of her orange panties beneath the bottom of her skirt--an ass quite pronounced despite her petite stature. She's no Eva, but she's no Fang either, if that's to be the scale. Though after a moment, she turns her head slightly with a hand upon her cheek. A single, vibrant blue eye stares back at you for a long, quiet moment, with the void filled only by the sound of the wind. You're already in the mountains, but atop your castle, you can feel the breeze's chill more than usual, especially with the coming of autumn.

"Do you mind if we talk?" you ask at last.

While she may be small, you know her years are beyond her appearance. She may be the most mysterious person staying at Castle Phoenix. You've run into two of her sisters before and neither were friendly, and even when you first met Vivi, she had you and Niki chained up in her hut.

"I don't mind," she replies. She then turns her attention back over the edge. "Has it gotten to that point?"

You make your way over to lean beside her. "What do you mean?"

"I was relatively content living alone all those years, though I did grow bored. I've been happier here. That's the truth. But I had hoped to live here without ever discussing the story of myself. I wanted a new start. I didn't think it would matter."

"Breiah could be more dangerous than Elok himself," you say. "I can tell it's difficult for you, but could you at least tell me what you know about her?"

"This is the problem with having an unnaturally long lifespan. You have even more baggage that can keep coming back up. And you can't ever escape from your past. It'll always be there. Even if you try and isolate yourself out in the middle of a forest, somehow, it comes back. My damn sister. She was always too aspirational. If she could, she'd probably claim the entire world as her own for the sake of progression. Too passionate for her own good."

"How old are the two of you? And well, three I guess, but you know. She was a ghost."

Vivi turns to face you fully, though crosses her arms quickly. "You aren't supposed to ask a lady her age." But after a moment of silence, she giggles. "Come. Let me take you somewhere, and then you can learn her story, and mine too."

"Where are we heading?"

"My hut. Can you hop us as close as you can?"

What do you do?
