Cody

Becca was sitting down with her backpack on her knees. One hand was inside the bag, casually fiddling with the gun. She wanted to be ready, but she also didn’t want to get caught. She was wondering if Cody planned to show up to their tutoring session still. She felt like he was so sure of himself and her crush that he expected her to take whatever punishment he dished out and beg for more. Well that wasn’t going to happen now, she was going to get even.

They got together every Tuesday in the library, same table every time. She was sitting on the other side of the library with that table in view, but in a position where he wouldn’t see her as he entered the room. Her plan was to shoot him a few times and see what happened. Hopefully nobody would notice what she was doing and she could escape and leave him hanging.

There he was, that fucker. He had a smug grin on his face and he sauntered over to their table. She looked around to make sure nobody was watching and she slowly pulled the gun out. She waited until he sat down and pulled out his phone before she pulled the trigger. A tiny beam shot out and struck him in the shoulder. It was silent at least, but she quickly looked around to see if anyone noticed. Thankfully it seems like not even Cody realized what had just happened.

She stared at him, waiting for him to change. At first she thought nothing had happened, but as she looked closer it seemed like his hair was a little bit lighter. Well that just wouldn’t do for ****, he’d probably never even notice let alone care. She pulled out the gun again and In quick succession she pulled the trigger 5 more times.

She pushed the gun back into her back and looked around again. Luckily she was still unnoticed, but glancing up at Cody she still couldn’t tell if she’d had any effect. She decided she had to risk getting a little closer to see if anything had changed. Slowly she got up and crept towards him, making sure to move so she approached from behind. As she got near it was clear the gun had had some effect. His hair was definitely lighter, moving from a sandy brown to a natural blond look. It was longer too, although that might just be her imagination. Honestly she was a little disappointed in the gun, she thought it would have had a more dramatic effect.

He still hadn’t noticed her so she decided to get away while she could. As she walked out of the library her phone dinged. It was a message from Cody, ‘Were R U?’ She couldn’t attribute his typo to becoming a bimbo, he always texted like that. She shook her head and ignored it. She had better things to do than waste her time on him.

He sent a few more messages so she blocked him to silence her phone. She didn’t have any more classes today so she went home to console herself with a bowl of ice cream and some cheesy rom coms. Eventually she crawled into bed and fell asleep.
