Work and more Bimbuzz

Gwendolyn walked into Starcoffee, her place of work, and nodded at Morgan with a mumbled hello.

Morgan was herself dressed in a black baggy company sweater with a company apron over the front, which was tied fairly loosely around her back, leaving her figure pretty much impossible to read; though Gwendolyn had seen her in just a t-shirt before, which quickly revealed the girl had easily D cup breasts hidden under her baggy clothing. In fact, Morgan almost met the joking internet 'big tiddy goth gf' descriptor perfectly, gothic make up gave her a pale face and dark eyes that seemed to stab you, short black hair framed her face, adding to the over all 'gothic' vibe of her look.

Matt, One of the grosser coworkers the two had worked with had made a couple comments about Morgan's looks, though the only one Gwendolyn had truly remembered was one about how if Morgan and Gwendolyn got combined they'd end up with a full set of curves.

A statement Gwendolyn supposed was true. She had always been mostly flat chested, something she was perfectly happy with. In contrast Gwendolyn had always had a rounder fuller butt, something a lot of people felt the need to comment on, while Morgan's ass, while not without merit wasn't exactly her most appealing feature.

At the same time other elements cast the girls as opposites. Gwendolyn had always left her hair slightly longer, and it was a fairly light golden-brown, in fact the most similar thing about them was probably the fact they were both white, and the fact they both lacked lipstick.

Gwendolyn stepped into the back tossing down her bag and pulling off her hoodie, she quickly opened her phone to double check the time. 9:45, and she didn't start work until 10. She scrolled through her phone before opening the Bimbuzz app, she might as well spend a couple minutes getting more familiar with the app.

The app showed the same swirling pink background as usual as it loaded, a small spiraling circle in the center of the screen indicated it's loading status before eventually it showed her, her home page. So far it was only a couple of photos from Aella, all fairly cute normal selfies, even if a little out of character for her. The notification bar at the bottom of the screen alerted her to a number of likes and comments on her original post. All encouraging and kind even if a few seemed a little condescending, the one that bothered her most read "Great intro post, and I'll def follow, but the lighting and angle in your profile pic are so bad? Maybe try it out again"

That was the point. She didn't really want anyone to know what she looked like, or to have clear visibility on her, she wanted to fade into the background and let her politics do the talking. She sighed, deciding to jump over to Aella's account, seeing who she followed.

She quickly tapped the follow button on the accounts she recognized as her friends, however as she scrolled she realized many accounts were grayed out, including one called Bimbuzz GG Aspirations.

As she clicked on it a small note popped up over the screen, "Sorry to view this account you must be a GG or higher."

She almost growled at the screen, had this app already implemented a dumb paywall rank system like they were trying out on twitter?

She clicked on her own account, next to her name the word beginner appeared in highlighted text, a quick click opened a new menu.

You are currently a beginner, to reach a higher rank like Go-Getter or even a top level like Brainy Boss you will have to complete certain requirements. Each set of requirements is only visible once your high enough level to start focusing on them. The requirements to get to the Go-Getter rank are to post 10 selfies, receive at least one hundred likes on a post, and have at least 30 followers.

That was interesting, she could certainly see the concept behind it, a sort of gamified version of social media. It definitely encouraged people to post as she looked over the page she even saw a Leaderboard tab.

The leader board shows you who has earned the most points in the last 7 days across Bimbuzz. Bimbuzz points can be spent on numerous in app purchases, including alternative app palettes, fun icons to go next to your name, and more. Bimbuzz points are earned by getting likes on posts, getting followers, and completing tasks set by an official Bimbuzz Account.

Okay. Maybe there was something to this app after all, it was certainly interesting to see conceptually and Gwendolyn couldn't wait to explore it more later,_ _she quickly closed her phone grabbing one of the aprons that was part of her uniform and pulled it on stepping out to help Morgan at the front of the store.__

The store itself was fairly quiet, and she got to work quickly restocking supplies, making sure everything was wiped down before Morgan tossed her an exhausted look as a customer entered, Gwendolyn gave her a quick smile before swapping out with Morgan, ready to take the customers order, "Hi what can I get started for you today?"

The customer paused a moment, staring directly at her, then blinked, "Uh could I get a coffee, black."

"Awesome, and what size will that be?"

"Oh a regular."

"Medium?"

"Yeah sure."

"I'll get right on that, and could I get a name for the order?"

"To go."

"Okay, and the name for the order?"

"Oh Adrien."

"Thank you sir, will that be cash or card for today."

"Card."

"And do you want your receipt?"

"Uh sure."

It took about half that time to make the coffee in question and hand it over to the customer once he'd paid and left.

"You're customer service voice is way better than mine." Morgan commented with a small smirk.

"Until we get to the 18th customer who gets upset because they stated their order wrong sure."

"Uh-huh. You should add disrespecting barista's to the list of things you fight against on twitter."

"I've actually been trying to use Twitter less with the whole situation."

"Oh, that's going to kill you unable to post about your causes unless you're joining one of the 23 billion Twitter copycats."

"I'm doing the latter."

"Figures."

"I will say I actually really like this one! It's got some issues, you need to have a selfie for your profile pic, but it's got some interesting concepts. I'm not sure if it'll be great for the sort of things I post about though."

"Yeah most social media sites are basically just advertising now, so unless you intend to post selfies of yourself leaning suggestively towards the camera good luck gaining any traction."

"Well I've got some followers already, and most of the people seem nice, you should make an account."

"And have to post a selfie as a profile pic, no thanks."

"Fair enough, let me know if you change your mind though. I've already got some friends who use the site but actually having a fair number of people I actually know would be fun."

Morgan shrugged, before getting back to wiping down the counter. She could see the site having some benefits she supposed, especially if she could find some more people who had a little bit of goth style or suggestions for interesting stuff to do with her own style, but frankly she'd never been a big fan of posting pictures of herself online.

The two were kept reasonably busy by work before Morgan took her lunch break, leaving Gwendolyn alone in the kitchen for a bit.

Morgan wandered over to the pizza place a few stores down from the coffee shop. She considered Gwendolyn's offer. It'd be easy enough to keep any of her body out of the shot, and just her face could be fine, for a selfie. So long as she didn't get **** to post anything suggestive. And it might be fun, at least a little bit, especially if Gwendolyn was on there, it couldn't be like overwhelmingly sexist or anything.

She shrugged, she might ask Gwendolyn about it before the end of her shift, maybe.
