The cavalry arrives

Lucy woke with a snort, her face resting against the desk and halfway on her keyboard. The enchantment had been silent since it had rescued her from her captor. With no obvious help, she began researching online, hoping to find a pattern of targets but with no formal experience in detective work, she had little luck. Her back cracked as she stood up. Her body yearned for coffee and she had no desire to deprive herself of the beverage.

Busy with preparing a cup, she didn't notice her door crack open and quietly shut. She didn't notice the sound of rustling that followed and she didn't noticed the paper dove that that flew itself into the kitchen and landed at her feet. She did notice however, that her cup had started to float.

"What the. . . Is that you?" Lucy called out hesitantly. The cup tipped forward a little in a nod. Then it gently flew down to the dove. Lucy followed the cup and stared at the paper bird standing at her feet. "Er. . . Is that important?" She asked, gesturing to the dove. The dove nodded and hopped in place. Lucy, bent down and extended a finger to which the dove hopped on just like a real bird would. She brough the dove to face height and inspected it quizzically. "What makes this bird so important?" The dove suddenly flapped it's wings at her and Lucy felt the magic fill her clothes and give them life. Her large t-shirt fluttered against her body and her shorts gave her butt a pinch. "Wait. . . Is that you? Like, you-" She looked at the dove pointedly. "-are THE Enchantment?" The dove nodded it's little paper head. "Okay, this is cool and all and it's nice to meet you in person I guess. But what does this do for us?" Her phone buzzed and the notes app opened.

Our real form has the power we need to save Sarah. But first, we need to find her. That's where you come in. Someone has been watching you.

Lucy blanched at the end of the sentence. She looked out her window, seeing nothing but shivering in discomfort at the thought that someone could see her. She suddenly felt even more ****. She returned her gaze to the dove. It shook, as if it was ruffling feathers it didn't have. The head of the dove pointed at her with a gentle tilt. Lucy found the sight a little comical, but cute. She turned her attention back to her phone.

Who ever captured Sarah, doesn't seem to like you being out and about as a witness. So, you're going to be our bait.
