The Gate

The 5 rolled on to the front gate. It was a small gate with a single guard outpost and decently sized walls to the sides. “Slow us down Lana” Astra ordered.

Lana slowly brought the truck to a halt. A blonde headed guard came out of the guard post and signaled for the window to be rolled down, which Lana did.

“Alright let me see the orde.. hold on, you aren’t the driv….” The guard cut off, her face went blank.

Lana had entered her mind.

“We are the correct truck. You will let us pass and not alert any alarms” Lana commanded.

“Yes, I will let you pass and not alert the alarms” the guard answered in a robotic tone.

The guard then marched over and pressed a button to open the gate.

The truck rolled through and the guard resumed her post like nothing had happened.

“Nice work Lana” Astra applauded.
