Chapter 4 by CeltysturlusonDRR CeltysturlusonDRR

What's next?

Meliana Redgrave(Part2)

Rain devoted his time to discreetly honing his skills, mindful not to disturb her slumber. Engaging in silent training sessions, he delved into weapon mastery, perfecting his techniques with a focused dedication. The muted rustle of pages turning as he immersed himself in learning the Lilim's tongue. As the day unfolded, Rain seamlessly transitioned from one pursuit to another, seamlessly incorporating reading into his routine. His culinary talents also came to the fore, skillfully crafting meals from the meager provisions stowed away in the adventurers' backpacks. Resourcefulness became his ally, as he transformed the available ingredients into flavorful dishes that will sustain both himself and his new found sleeping companion. The camp, bathed in a serene ambiance, bore witness to Rain's multifaceted endeavors. Each moment spent in quiet training, reading, and culinary improvisation contributed to his growth and adaptability. In the stillness of the surroundings, Rain's actions echoed his commitment to self-improvement.

2 days 13 hours and 15 minutes left.

As Rain was cooking, Meliana was woken up by the smell.

Meilana;Whaat!? What are you doing? What did you do to me?” she shouted at him, pulling the robe closer onto her and backing out.

Ramiel;I’m making soup and I didn't do anything to you, here…” Rain said, throwing her a bottle of water.

She gets up and grabs the water bottle, drinking it all almost immediately.

She notices her breasts were out, as her clothes were cut by Garoj.

Meliana;Youuuuu!!! S-S-S….top looking! Perverted demon!” She shouted, her face red as a tomato.

She quickly runs to the robe, using it to cover herself.

Ramiel;I have a name you know…I’d like for you to start using it…” Rain responded as he was more focused on the cauldron of soup that he was preparing.

Meliana;Ramiel… Right… Thank you….” She replied, still blushing and looking away from Ramiel.

Ramiel;Thank me? For what exactly?

Meliana;You saved my life…. from Garoj…

Ramiel;Ahhh… That… You’re welcome I guess…

Meliana; Why? Why did you do that? You could’ve kept Garoj alive after he killed me, I’m sure someone like you had ways of doing that without much effort… You would’ve still been able to get out and you didn’t had me on your hands, but a half dead Garoj that you could do with as you pleased …

Ramiel;I told you, didn't I? You are a very important piece of my plan, I can't have you die on my watch.

Meliana; There would’ve been others that could’ve come, the council always sends someone stronger after a party fails…. There are definitely far stronger and more useful clerics out there other than me…

Ramiel; “You’re making this very difficult for me, you know? You’re kind of cute and smart and definitely my type, there, you happy?

Meliana;I knew it! You’re a perverted demon after all!” She shouted, slightly moving back.

Ramiel;Perverted? Uhh…. I’m a virgin just so you know, not that perverted…. I did have someone I loved … Once …. But she just broke my heart, literally and figuratively… So that’s how perverted I am…

Meliana;A demon… Love? What nonsense is this… Stop lying to me!

Ramiel;I have no reason to lie about this, why would I put myself in such a position? It’s not like I'm boasting of how many girls I’ve been with or anything, this is something very personal to me…. I’m not lying… Here taste this, tell me if it’s any good..” Rain said, lifting a spoon with soup.

Meliana; You’re trying to poison me now!

Ramiel;Ughhh…. Women… Needs some salt…

Meliana; How does a demon know how to cook? Human food? I’m pretty sure I'm smelling and seeing chicken soup, and why does a demon bleed red blood?” Meliana asks, moving slightly towards Rain, looking into the cauldron.

Ramiel;Hmmm…How am I going to explain this…” Ramiel thought.

Ramiel;Look…. I read a lot you see, about your customs and traditions, food and all that stuff, but I am limited to only by books, I want to see the world, your world, I want to go to your cities see how you live, travel across every corner of Goetia and meet people, that’s why I want to get out, at least that’s a part of it…. And for your second question, I cannot give you that answer, not yet at least,” Ramiel lied to her, it wasn’t a complete lie, but he did want to travel across the world although, that wasn’t his main goal.

Meliana;I see… WAIT! Where are the members of my party? Did you eat them? What did you do to them, ANSWER ME!

Ramiel gets up from near the cauldron and walks towards her, she backs off gently and scared as he approached her.

Ramiel;Come…” Ramiel spoke in a quiet voice as he walked passed Meliana.

She follows behind him, keeping her distance.

Ramiel; There they are,” Ramiel spoke as he moved slightly to the right, making her able to see them.

She marveled at his compassionate care for the lifeless bodies before her, observing the tender diligence with which he attended to their final repose. Each departed soul found solace in the delicate arrangement upon their deathbeds, a testament to his reverence for the departed and the solemnity of the moment.

With a grace that belied the gravity of the situation, he arranged their forms with meticulous precision, ensuring every detail reflected a sense of dignity and respect. The soft touch of his hands conveyed a profound understanding of the fragility of life, and in the midst of sorrow, he became a silent guardian of the departed.

It became evident that his care extended beyond the physical; almost as if he knew what horrors one encounters as their soul leave their bodies. He invested emotional consideration into each moment, creating a space where the departed could find peace. In the quietude of the room, his actions resonated with a profound sense of humanity? Transforming the somber occasion into a dignified passage into the beyond.

Her voice, though fragile, carried a resolute plea as she turned her gaze towards Ramiel. The glint of unshed tears shimmered in her eyes, a poignant reflection of the sorrow within.

Meliana; "I... I need a moment alone," she uttered, her words a gentle but urgent request, a yearning for solitude to confront the depth of her feelings.

Ramiel;Sure, I’ll be over there,” Ramiel moved away from her, leaving her alone.

In a moment of profound grief, she sank to her knees, her hands clasped together in a gesture that seemed to invoke a sense of prayer. Ramiel, observing from a respectful distance, anticipated a solemn invocation for her fallen comrades. However, to his surprise, she began to weave a haunting melody, a sorrowful song that resonated with emotions too deep for mere spoken words. The tune, unfamiliar to Ramiel, unfolded like a melancholic tapestry, capturing the essence of her sorrow and the weight of the losses she had endured.

As her voice wove through the air, each note carried the heavy burden of grief, painting an elegy for the fallen brethren. The lyrics, born from the depths of her heart, seemed to articulate the pain that transcended the limits of language. The song became a vessel for the unspoken, a cathartic release of emotions that echoed in the stillness of the surroundings.

Ramiel; You have a lovely voice, even I enjoyed hearing that, but truth be told I thought you were about to pray not sing,” Ramiel remarked, complimenting her.

Meliana; That was not meant for you, and I don't pray, not anymore…” she replied, with a stern look on her face.

Ramiel;A cleric that doesn’t pray, now that’s interesting...

Meliana; This is my first advice, make sure you remember it, the outside world is far more cruel than you read about it in your books, not everything is as it seems, the church…. is…. you know what… Never mind that,” she says as she walks in front of Rain, heading for her staff.

She grabs her staff.

Ramiel; Are we back to fighting? Just so you know, you can’t defeat me no matter how hard you try, you know this… And I'm not going to kill you, nor do I want to, or hurt you for that matter…

Meliana; Can you listen to my selfish request?” She asked with clear determination on her face.

Ramiel; As long as it does not revolve around me killing you... Yes.

Meliana;I want you to let yourself be hit by my strongest attack, and give me your feedback, it will take a lot of time for me to charge and I’m not very good at aiming it so stay still,” she said, pointing her staff at Ramiel.

Ramiel; Hmmm…. If I agree to this, you’ll have to agree to my terms as well, no killing yourself, no fights, no nothing and after we’re out you will help me build my guild, is that understood?

Meliana;I’ll agree to those terms,” she said, as she lifts herself up, slightly floating above ground, a lightning bubble appears around her, three times her size, as she starts chanting.

Meliana; "Winds that whip, skies that roar, I call upon the storm's fierce core. Crackling power, electric might, bolts of brilliance, ignite the night. Zephyrs dance, tempests entwine, In my veins, the lightning shines. From heavens high, to earth below, power of storms, within me grow. Storm and lightning, heed my plea, a tempest's child, I summon thee. Electric wrath, in my command, unleash the fury upon the land. Thunder's heartbeat, drumming near, celestial symphony, crystal clear. Arcane sparks, my essence merge, In this moment, let the heavens surge...."

Ramiel;Hey… Hey… How is she able to conjure this much lightning mana… Clerics usually only have light magic that supports, this is probably going to hurt a lot… Who is this woman?

Meliana;CALL LIGHTNING!!!!” She shouts as a large bolt of lightning starts coming down onto Ramiel.

The lighting went on for about two minutes, holding Ramiel in place, it didn’t hurt that much, but even if he wanted to leave from its grasp, he couldn’t.

Meliana drops to the ground, breathing heavily.

Meliana; “Uhhhh... Uhhh… How… How was… That?”

Ramiel;Huuue!.... That was something, it didn’t pack as much power as I thought it would, but truth be told even if I wanted to escape from it, I couldn’t, the chant is a problem too, you will never be able to use this in a fight, maybe backed by an entire party… And even then… There are mages who deal with this stuff better and a cleric using her entire mana for an attack when there are other things you could do... All I’m saying is…. No one will want you to use this in a fight instead of healing and protection spells.

Meliana;So not that good, huh?

Ramiel;Maybe... Maybe it will eventually have its uses, but as of now... I can’t think of any, I’m sorry.

Meliana;Don’t be sorry for me dem… Ramiel.

Ramiel; So you want to get stronger? Take back your home? Did I hear it right? When you were fighting Garoj,” Rain asked as he knelt down near her.

Meliana;Yes, that was our end goal, what made us form our guild…. but now… without them… I see no way to have it done… I…. I….” she responded, tears falling down on her blushed cheeks.

Ramiel; Hey… Can you at least explain to me, what happened?

Meliana; Yes… we…. all of us here…are… were... from a small fishing village in the south, called Rania. It was a peaceful life, all of us formed the village together, strays from all the races, former slaves or thieves, wanted criminals and everything in between, living together in peace. You will think that with such a bunch in one place things would’ve been difficult or at least hard to hold together, it was not. Everyone helped each other, we all came there running or hiding from something else, everyone wanted to leave their old lives behind, start anew…. It was a good life... Until they came… And it was all my fault… yet no one… no one blamed me…. Why didn’t they just abandoned me? Why…..” she starts crying, remembering her life.

Ramiel;They? They who?

Meliana; The church of Ariel, better yet…. HIM, Cardinal, Notaras Redgrave, my father.

Ramiel; Your father? I’m guessing he wanted you back?

Tears welled up in Meliana's eyes as she began to recount her life's tale, her voice trembling with the weight of past horrors.

Meliana; "Yes, I ran away from home and from the church after finding out what they actually were," she confessed, her gaze fixed on a distant, painful memory.

Meliana; "Vile and sadistic old men that ****, killed and crucified innocents, while if the information was found out and went public, even more horrifying terrors' awaited. They called them heathens, just a word… A simple word that the church flaunts around, around anyone that dares to disobey them."

Her hands, clasped tightly together, revealed the anguish that lingered within. The scars of betrayal and brutality had etched themselves into her soul, and she continued her tale, each word laden with sorrow.

Meliana; "They came to our village and started using that word around," she continued, her voice barely above a whisper.

Meliana; "The knights grabbed anyone that they deemed heathen, crucifying them in front of our eyes. No one gave a single information about me. To this day, I think to myself, why didn’t they just give me up instead of dying?"

A heavy silence enveloped the room as the gravity of her words settled. The pain of witnessing her loved ones suffer for her sake haunted her every waking moment.

Meliana; "I remember their screams... As they shouted, 'I don’t know who this Meliana is, but she is not here!" Meliana's voice quivered, the anguish resurfacing.

The memory clawed at her heart, and she couldn't contain the torrent of emotions that surged forth. She broke down further, the weight of a survivor's guilt bearing down on her, a burden she carried with each breath.

In that **** moment, the room echoed with the sound of her sorrow, a lament for the lives lost and the innocence stolen. The shadows of the past clung to Meliana's narrative, casting a somber pallor over her as she bared the scars of a life forever altered by the cruelty of those who wielded power in the name of a corrupted faith.

Ramiel;So? What did you do?

Meliana; I couldn’t just go out and reveal myself, if I did that, their sacrifices would’ve been in vain, so me and the ones that lie dead behind us, ran away. To our luck not long after that, Helena, bless her, managed to gather all the world leaders in one place, making them sign a treaty of peace, and in that treaty there was a motion that allowed for creation of guilds that contained members of all the races, so…we formed a guild and started to get stronger, after finding out that I became an adventurer, my father went mad. You see… as strong as the church of Ariel is they cannot go against the guild, once you’re a member of the guild, you’re protected by them, with all their might, and he was not about to find out what would’ve happened if they crucify a member of the guild. The human guild, where we formed ours, is run by Merlin Darkstalker, an S+ former adventurer, that hates the church, and all he wants is an opportunity to kick them out of the realm, my father was not about to give to him that opportunity.

Of course Rain knew of Merlin’s hatred of the church, yet he never understood it, the priests always acted humbly in his presence, helping people, offering shelter and food to anyone that came at their door, helping the people of the town to the best of their power, to him they seemed like just some humble people that worshiped Ariel as his mother did. He had no reason to doubt them, but now he understood why they always kept building orphanages for children and why Merlin hated them.

Ramiel; I see…. So he took his **** against your village?

Meliana;Yes… He enslaved everyone there, using the females as whores, having the knights impregnate them, making more slaves in the process, the males he **** and had them build a giant cathedral in the town. There are still people there that I care for, families of the ones behind us, I made a promise to free them all from the reign of the church. How can I face them now? How can I tell them that only I survived? How can I tell them that we failed? How can I tell them that their husbands and wives died in front of me and I wasn't able to save them?

Ramiel;Meliana… You know that saying, when a door closes another one opens? I will be your hero. I’m not able to bring your dead friends back to life, but what I can do… is freeing your town from the church, completing the promise you made to your friends, that will be the first thing we do as a guild, that’s my promise to you.

Meliana; Are you mad? The only way to do that is to destroy the entire church of Ariel, if we do that we’ll become a rogue guild, if we kill any priest, the guild will no longer back us, we’ll just have to fend for ourselves, against everyone, the guild, the throne, the church, no one will take us in, no one will want to join us…

Ramiel opened a dark gate, summoning his katana.

he slashed his palm with it, blood dripping from his hand.

Ramiel; I’ll make this promise with you in blood, I will not stop until all your people are free again, on my honor and on my life, I promise you,” He spoke, raising his hand up, in front of her, going for a handshake.

She slashes her own palm with the tip of her staff.

Meliana; You better not back down, no matter how hard it will be, no matter what we face, for some reason that even I can't tell, I trust your words,” she said as they both touched hands.

Meliana's senses jolted, and a sudden startle seized her as she caught sight of a faint yet discernible image of Helena standing just behind Ramiel. The apparition of Helena wore a serene expression, and her ethereal presence seemed to hover with a quiet warmth, casting an unexpected and comforting glow in the air. As Meliana blinked, the image disappeared.

Purgatory, Pandemonum Castle
Mephisto Pheles, room

Perched confidently on an ornate golden sofa, Mephisto surveyed the room with a self-satisfied grin stretching across his face. Flanked on each side by two naked female demons, their presence accentuating his aura of dominance, he exuded an air of triumph. The flickering light from the magical projections in front of him danced across his features as he leisurely sipped from a glass of wine, his eyes fixed on the captivating scenes unfolding within the enchanted images.

Before him, colossal magical projections displayed the unfolding lives of Ramiel and Meliana. The images shimmered with an ethereal glow, capturing the intricate threads of fate woven around the two protagonists. Mephisto, reveling in his cunning machinations, observed their every move with a calculating gaze.

As the door behind him creaked open, a hushed anticipation filled the room. In walked a demoness, her presence commanding attention. Mephisto, turning slightly, acknowledged her entrance with a raised eyebrow, the smirk on his face undeterred.

Lilith;Out! Out! Darlings,” the demoness spoke in a giggling tone.

Please log in to view the image

They quickly grab their clothes from the floor, they bow down to her near the door and start running away.

She sits on the sofa, near Mephisto.

Lilith; So, this is him? He doesn't look like much, are you sure about this?” She asked, as she grabbed the glass of wine from his hand and started drinking from it.

Mephisto;Yes, he is showing great promise so far, I think I made the right choice with him.

Lilith;I’m not going to help you if your father finds out about this, stealing the knife away from him was already hard enough, do you know how much explaining I had to do?

Mephisto;I’m sure you have your ways of explaining stuff to him, mother,” he said, moving closer to her.

Lilith;Ohhhh, are we jealous now?” She asked with a smirk on her face.

Mephisto; Not really, as long as I get to have my turn every now and then,” he said, as he goes for a kiss.

She stops him.

Lilith;Mephisto… If he finds out why you did this, why you TRULY did this, there will be no escaping from him, I won’t be able to protect you…” she replied in an downhearted tone.

Mephisto;Let’s worry about that when the time comes, now let’s have a bit of fun,” he said, knocking the glass out of her hand.

Lilith;Sure, but before that… Dimensional Lock!” Lilith said, casting a spell that stopped time itself around Mephisto’s room.

Lilith; We don’t want to get caught now do we?” she replied, giggling.

Mephisto; That will be bad, yes,” Mephisto responded, standing up in front of her, naked.

His erect cock, rock hard, white fluids, dripping, his smegma from cuming multiple times combined vulva juices from the two servants.

Mephisto;Clean the cunt juice of those two servants with your mouth, whore...

Lilith;With pleasure, my son....

Lilith grabs his cock with her hand, she starts licking from the smegma off with her enormous tongue, going down towards his balls, she starts licking behind them, she cleans his cock clean, licking off his smegma as cat like beast purring with excitement.

She puts her hands behind her back.

Lilith; You know how I like it, Waghhhhh…” she spoke, opening her mouth, with her tongue out, saliva, smegma, dripping from it.

Mephisto grabs her by the head with his left hand, he grabs her the middle strap of her dress that led to her cunt, pulling it upwards.

She starts dripping, as the thin fabric squishes between her lips.

He pushes her by the head onto his dick, making her take all of it into her throat in one go.

He grabs her by the hair, and starts moving her back and forth onto his dick.

Lilith;Gawk! Hwakawk! Gawk! Gawk! Gawk! Ughhh….Ughhhh…."

After a few more minutes she was having trouble breathing as she took the entire dick into her mouth.

She taps him by the thighs as a signal she needed air.

Mephisto pulls his dick out from her mouth, and lets go of her hair, a few strands of her white hair drop from his hand.

Lilith;Uhhhh… Uhhhh….

Mephisto;Who told you that you could move your hands, whore!” Mephisto shouted, slapping her on the face.

The slap shook the entire room, even though time was stopped.

The slap does not even make her move her head, nor does she even feel any pain.

Lilith;Harder!

Mephisto gathers all his mana in his right hand, with his left holding her head in place.

He slaps her face with all his power.

The slap on impact made the entire castle tremble, as if an earthquake of a large magnitude hit it.

Lilith stood still, looking at him slightly disappointed, barely feeling anything.

Lilith; Is this all you can do? Surely not… HARDER!!

Purgatory, Pandemonum Castle
Lucifer’s, room

Lucifer stood at his desk, writing a letter, as the castle started to tremble, his pen moved onto the paper, leaving a trail.

Lucifer;Awww fucking!! Damn it! This boy! Now I have to start writing this shit again. This has started to happen far too frequently, I need to have Lilith have a word with him, I know he’s bored beyond relief but destroying my castle is not a remedy, for fuck’s sake!

Lucifer started shaking in his chair as another earthquake happened, slightly more powerful than the previous one.

Lucifer; Ughhhh… What am I going to do about him… He is probably losing his mind right now, locked up in this castle…. Soon my son… Soon you will not be bored, I promise.

After 10 more earthquakes, they stop from happening.

Purgatory, Pandemonum Castle
Mephisto’s room

Mephisto;Uhhhh….Uhhhhh…” Mephisto was out of breath and mana, using it all to slap Lilith.

Lilith was standing on the sofa, with her cheek slightly red.

Lilith;See…. I knew you had it in you, now I hope you’re not that tired, I want you to destroy my pussy or ass, whichever you prefer my son.

Lilith said, turning herself with her back at Mephisto, spreading her ass cheeks with both her hands.

Mephisto; If….If… I ever say…. Uhhh… That I’m too tired to stick my dick in you.. Uhhh…. Uhhh… I want you to kill me,” Mephisto said, putting his dick between her ass cheeks, moving it up and down.

Lilith;Good, now take me like the whore I am!

Somewhere within Purgatory;
Ramiel's gate;

Both Ramiel and Meliana sat down, eating the soup Ramiel made.

Ramiel;How is it?

Meliana;Pretty good actually, you’re sure this is the first time you’re cooking this?

Ramiel;Uhmmmm…. Not really, I enjoy human food from time to time, not the first time, but I didn’t cook it often either, chickens are quite hard to come by in purgatory…” Ramiel lied through his teeth, this is at least the thousand time he cooked this as Helana had little to no experience in the kitchen, she tried her best to cook for him, but she failed every time, making him the cook of the family.

Meliana; “Purgatory? Is that where you’re from?” She asked, as she sipped away from the soup bowl.

Ramiel; Yes, that’s where we are currently too, kind of but not really, as my father put it,” Ramiel replied, pouring himself another bowl.

Meliana;WAIT! WHAT? We’re in purgatory? The gates lead into purgatory? This is the first time I have heard of this....

Ramiel;Yeah, I guess the guild does not share that information with you, probably they thought they wouldn’t have that many applicants that wanted to come through the gates if they knew… where they were heading.

Meliana; That actually makes a lot of sense… I wonder how much time has passed since I entered here?

Ramiel;Quite a lot, the gate will close in 2 days from now.

Meliana;How do you know that?

Ramiel;I can see it, behind the portal there, I see a timer counting down to the last day,” Ramiel responded, pointing towards the portal.

Meliana;I don’t see anything,” she replied, as she watched the gate.

Ramiel;Thought as much,” Ramiel responded while getting up, washing the bowl that he ate from.

Meliana; “Two days, huh? And how do you know that I or you will not die at the end of that timer?

Ramiel;Because of the conditions of clearing the gate, set by my father.

Meliana;And what conditions are those?

Ramiel; It’s simple, you have to be alive at the end of the timer, that’s it, you want more?

Meliana; No, I’m fine, thank you,” she responds, giving Ramiel her empty bowl.

Ramiel; Good,” he responded, grabbing her bowl and washing it.

Meliana; You’re pretty diligent with this stuff you know…. cooking, reading, carefully taking care of my dead friends, making beds, are you sure you’re a prince of purgatory?” She asked as she gently placed her chin upon her two open palms, gazing at Ramiel.

Ramiel;Prince, huh? I may be a prince now, but not of purgatory, at least I don't know if my father sees it that way,” he responded, sitting down near her.

Meliana; Not of purgatory? Then what of? You’re having problems with your father? I guess in that regard we’re not that different, didn’t think a demon could have family problems,” she asked, confused.

Ramiel; You ask too many questions, you know? What am I a prince of doesn't matter, my family problems do not matter right now either, what matters is that we have only two days left to turn you into an S class healer, or mage? What do you prefer? I’m good with both,” he asked her, looking straight into her eyes.

Meliana; An S class? Me? You probably have no idea what the difference between an A+ ranker and an S class is, it’s like from heaven to earth, I'll need at least 10 years more of training to even reach that, maybe even more.

Ramiel; No, you won’t, not under my training, it’s going to be hard, and you will get hurt in the process, if you’re up for it, I’ll turn you into an S class in two days, and you haven’t answered, what’s going to be? Mage or Healer?

Meliana;I... I… want to be a mix of both, I want to protect people... yet I understand that healing will only get me so far, I want to be able to fight side by side with everyone, there were too many times in which people died in front of me, as I watched, thinking that if I could attack too, I would’ve been more useful to them, preventing it from happening,” she responds with determination in her eyes.

Ramiel; It is true, protection and healing spells have their limitations, healing a wound consumes way too much mana, and healing wounds do not bring people back from the dead or save them from their fate and usually they’re used after a battle, not during as the healers are usually focused first by everyone, the ones left alive, the ones that were able to protect themselves, use whatever mana they have left in healing everyone else left alive.

Meliana; How do you know so much about us? And our limitations, how many people have you even killed to gain this information?” She asked in a quiet and **** manner, with a sorrowful look upon her face.

Ramiel;Actually, just one, what was his name? Garoj? That’s the only one so far.

Meliana; How do you expect me to believe that? Although, you’re definitely not just some random demon. I know that… and I’ve heard your father’s name before, he was the one that got defeated by Rainheart, Queen Helena’s son, sacrificing himself in order to defeat your father, every human alive knows this story, you probably do too, from your father,” she says, looking at Ramiel.

Ramiel;Rainheart? Huh?…. Trust me I know that loser way too well, but he did not defeat my father, he was way too weak to even stand on his feet against my him, he lost everything he held dear on that day,” Ramiel responded with sadness in his eyes.

Meliana;DON’T MOCK THE HERO THAT SAVED THE WORLD IN MY PRESENCE!” She shouts at Ramiel, while standing up.

Ramiel;Saved the world…. I guess you could put it that way… although it was not of his own accord, he did so…

Meliana; Not of his own accord? What do you mean? What do you know? You were definitely lied to by your father, saving face he told you the story differently, Helena wouldn’t have lied to the entire world about the **** of her own son, SHE WOULDN’T, I KNOW IT! NOT HER!

Ramiel; Were you not the one that told me the world was cruel and nothing was as it seemed? You should probably take your own advice, I promise everything will make sense for you one day, but not now, it’s too soon for you to know the truth of that day.

Meliana;I’m going to hold you to that promise, Ramiel...

Ramiel;I will tell you, eventually, have you regained your mana?

Meliana;Yes, I'm back at full again.

Ramiel gazes upward at the citadel's destroyed ceiling, raising his right hand towards it, remembering, "Great Light Magic: Rea Baldo!" The incantation triggers memories of his mother's enchantment, her voice echoing in the air. A subtle annoyed smile crosses his lips as he whispers the same words.

Meliana; "What was that?" She asked, slightly confused.

Ramiel;Nothing, *Ramiel turns his gaze back to Meliana* Your mana regen is quite fast, use that skill again, the one you used on me, I’m going to gather some things, build a tent, it looks like it’s going to rain soon,” he remarked, as he started walking towards the party’s bags.

Meliana;Rain? The sky is quite clear, I don't think it’s going to rain any time so…

She is stopped from talking by a loud thunder sound, followed by a lightning bolt.

Meliana;Kyaaaa!!!” She shouts, startled.

Ramiel; Hehe, is my soon to be lightning mage scared of lightning?” Ramiel asked, with a soft smile, looking at her.

Meliana;Am not!” She shouts, pouting.

Ramiel;Good, then get to it, and make sure not to aim at me, again, or the tent that I will be building…

She watches the sky, slightly concerned…. she slaps her face with both hands, reinvigorating herself.

Meliana; You can do this Meliana, everything for my friends, I’ll endure it, his training, I’ll protect all I hold dear with my own two hands, I’ll make sure to make my father pay for what he has done, he has too!

Ramiel started building the tent, as he watch her, casting her magic.

After 3 more minutes she was done, it was the same as before, her magic didn’t pack that much power behind it, the chant was long, it lasted the same as before.

Meliana goes towards her bed, exhausted, sitting down, watching him.

30 minutes passed in silence, Ramiel completed the tent, it wasn’t much he made due with what he found, it was at least good enough to shelter both of them from the rain.

Rain starts pouring down.

They both move on the small beds inside the tent.

Both sitting down on the beds, looking at the pouring rain.

Meliana;Couldn’t you build a bigger tent?” She asked, as they both were practically touching each other in the cramped space.

Ramiel;Couldn’t you bring more materials with you when you’re entering the gates?

Meliana;That’s all we have, OK!

Ramiel; What do you mean? Surely a guild as strong as you guys were, definitely have more money to spend on materials other than this.

Meliana; We don’t… We haven’t been assigned a gate in quite some time…. I don’t even know why they gave us this gate too… Usually A ranked gates or higher are assigned to S class guilds, we only make due with normal quests…. sometimes we don’t even get paid either....

Ramiel; I see… so nothing has changed...” Ramiel whispered in a soft voice.

Meliana;What was that?

Ramiel;Nothing… I’m going to sleep, you should too, after the rain stops we won’t be sleeping anymore, I want you up for the remaining of the timer, I will drill all I was thought of into you in two days, if that will be able to make you an S rank or not we’ll see after we get out, goodnight… for now,” Ramiel said, turning over with his back at her.

Meliana;Goodnight….” she whispers in a soft voice.
