Parting Ways With Your Mother

With nothing more you can do, you return to your new room. You begin to take in the current situation. You are now Megan, a 35 year old widowed mother. You seem capable of keeping the family under control, plus you think you will be able to provide for your family after some job searching. Maybe being stuck this way won't be such a bad thing.

You descend back into sleep, dreaming once again of the train station. You are your old self, and you are facing your mother. "I know where I belong," she says, "and I thank you for taking my place. This way, I can be with Joel forever, and never have to feel alone." She walks up and gives you a hug, and a bright light surrounds the two of you.

You wake up feeling warm and comfortable. You are still Megan, and you are content with it. While the amulet is still in your chest, you feel that its power to possess people has faded. The problem is, you're not sure if you want to keep the amulet anymore. You know there are still other abilities to discover, and some old ones still available, but maybe being Megan is the reason why you found the amulet in the first place.
