Chapter 4 by clonky clonky

What does the next day look like?

Its the start of the worst time in her life

She did not sleep well that night, thinking about all that happened. She was angry at her family and especially at her sister for getting her in so much trouble. She also wasn't sure how to think about her father. She really loved him and would do everything he said, but she had never seen him do something like that to her. But it wasn't his fault, he thought Cindy wasn't doing well and just wanted to help her, right? And also the thing with the money. Cindy knew her father worked hard to pay the monthly credit, and it would be unfair to ruin all that by breaking the deal her parents made, and also she wasn't able to get out of this so easy anyway. She could run away or something, but that wouldn't help her much and get her father in huge trouble so she could never look him in the eyes again. So she decided she would do her best to earn no punishments and get the five weeks over as fast as possible.

Someone knocked on the door, and a few seconds later her father came in and gave her the phone. You will keep this on you all the time. It's not a normal phone, there's only the app on this and a camera to make evidence of certain tasks you will have to do. It's also all weatherproof and you don't have to worry too much about it with water or breaking it, but still be careful. You can find all the rules in the left upper corner of the app, make sure to read them carefully. If you hear the phone chime, you know you have a new message and you will immediately read it and do what it says. The system works with points, we already entered the points for your behavior in the last two weeks, but no worries, it's not gonna be everything at once. Just make sure to do what the app asks you to. We agreed with the company that the weekend would be the first test for you and that you start the next week without previous registered points. So make sure to follow every task in detail, or it might happen that the program keeps your points even after the weekend, and trust me, you don't want that. I have to go now, I have to work extra hours to get back where I was in my project. She looked down with an embarrassed face and silently said, "sorry". He went out of the room and Cindy took the phone and started to read the rules.

Punishment points=PP, Command points=CP

  1. You got assigned one admin that manages your account. The admin can assign one or more observer/s (up to 2 at once looking for you, see point 14. in rules for more information) to keep an eye on you and tell the app how your attitude and commitment to your tasks goes, and to keep track of the trouble you cause.
  2. You have to obey the commands an observer gives you as long as it isn't unreasonable. The AI keeps track of command given to you and decides if it's reasonable or not. If it is the case, you and your observer will get a message and tell you if you have to follow the order or not.
  3. Every observer can give you a number of points depending on how good or bad you behave and the system will check if the amount is reasonable, and if not, message you and your observer.
  4. In the top part of your app is your current punishment points counter. If you fail a task, cause trouble or avoid your punishments, the count will increase by the amount your observer sets. Your points can also decrease it if you get an A in school tests or if you're able to follow your day without causing problems.
  5. Every observer can spend command points to suggest punishments for you, spending at least one point. CP get restored every day depending on how many PP your account currently has, normally one every day if your point counter is on zero, creasing every 50 points by one point. The amount your observers spend or currently have is hidden from you, and the points do not expire. Per CP, an observer can take up to 5 point from your PP counter to increase the punishment you receive. An observer can spend multiple CP to increase the amount of available PP for her to spend. To make sure your observers are not abusing this rule to keep collecting points and spend them all at one, a maximum cap for CP is set depending on your current PP, increasing by one every 50 points.
  6. The data of requested punishments is after that send to the main servers of our company and processed by a highly intelligent AI specially trained for this task. This AI will calculate the data and points received and will send you a message containing your punishment.
  7. The app is connected to your GPS device and will show you a route if one is attached to your task. If you get off of the route, you will get extra punishment points.
  8. The app uses a microphone to keep track of what you are saying. You are not allowed to curse or use foul language as long as it's not part of a punishment or task. If the app detects a blacklisted word, you will be given punishment points, one for each word.
  9. If you are part of a test at school, you will take a picture of your test results after the teacher corrected it. If you get an A you will lose one of your punishment points, for an B you will stay at the same points, for an C you will get 1 point, D 2 points, E 4 points and F 6 points.
  10. If you lose your Device, you get extra punishment points.
  11. If you get points for the same reason in a row or many points in a short time, you will get extra punishments.
  12. If you fail to complete one of your assigned punishments, you will either get assigned a new one by an observer or get torment points, which will cause a special event every Friday. What happens on that day is depending on how many torment points you collected.
  13. Your observers are allowed to assign chores for you to do by spending chore points. Two chore points are generated per observer per day. The points do also not expire, and multiple can be spent to increase chore difficulty. If you fail a chore, you will get an extra punishment dependent on the chore difficulty. Failing easy chores will result in harsher punishments, and failing hard tasks will give you small punishments. To make sure you don't ignore your hard chores and take the light punishment, the AI assesses your success in % and will increase the punishment intensity the less you did to finish the task.
  14. You can have 2 observers at once looking for you. If they change throughout the day, the points they can spend will be evaluated with already spend points by your previous observers. With the approval of your admin, one observer can spend all points as if you had two of them when he/she looks after you alone. If that is the case, the points can't be put together but need to be spent like if it were done by two persons to prevent drastically increasing punishments.
  15. Every day at 20:00 you will get assigned an extra punishment if you currently have more than 10 points on your counter. This can also be a new rule for you to follow or increase an already existing one. The intensity of those punishments will be increase every 10 points. If your points are in the positive, it is possible to override current rules in your favor. The new rules you get will always depend on your lately behavior and situation. The program will try to help you by getting problems out of the way you are currently facing.

20 punishment points got added to your account due to your behavior over the past two weeks.

Current Punishment points counter: 20

She could not believe what she just read. It's going to be a long 5 weeks, she thought to herself.
