Settling In

The two people in the car that just arrived were Lexy and Lanie Overton. They were twins and had been friends with this group for as long as anyone can remember. The twins had some family engagement at the beginning of the weeks so this was the earliest that they had been able to make it to the campground. Now the whole group was there and that meant that they would have even more fun.

“Good to see you two could finally make it.” Kirk said with a smirk on his face.

“Kiss my ass Kirk. You know that we had plans earlier in the week.” Lexy said.

“Calm down Lexy. I am sure that Kirk was just messing around with you.” Lanie said and Kirk nodded.

“Anyways. What have you guys been doing since you got here?” Lexy asked.

“Well, we have gone swimming everyday. We did some hiking on the trails. Just stuff like that. As for the nights, we have played dare and a more mature version of spin the bottle.” Laura said.

“That sounds like fun. I am sad that we missed the games. It sounds like they were fun.” Lexy said.

“Oh, they were. I am sure that we can do that again later in the week.” Patrick said.

“I don’t know if I am comfortable with that.” Lanie said being that she was the more subdued of the twins.

“You don’t have to play. We hope you do though, but we aren’t going to make anyone play who doesn’t want to.” Sasha said.

“Okay, thanks. So, anything else interesting going on around here?” Lanie asked.

“Well, I think the newest thing would be that Patrick now has two girlfriends. I don’t know how he pulled it off, but he did.” Chad said.

“So, you are a real ladies man then?” Lexy asked Patrick with a bit of an upset look on her face.

“I didn’t know that I was, but the three of us just clicked.” Patrick said and his two girlfriends nodded in agreement with him.

“Well, I am happy for the three of you. I hope you stay together for a long time. So, what is the plan for the rest of the day?” Lanie said as she tried to change the subject for her sister’s sake.

Lanie knew that her sister had feelings for Patrick and that this wasn’t going to sit well with her, so she tried to stir things in another direction. She could tell by the look on Lexy’s face that she was not in a good mood anymore and that this wasn’t going to be a fun trip for anyone if things didn’t change.

“We haven’t really thought about anything other than what we are going to eat. We thought we would make some cheeseburgers and hotdogs.” Chase said.

“That sounds good. So, how are sleeping arrangements working so that Lexy and I can unload our things?” Lanie asked.

“Well, there is only room for one in the girls tent. I am sure one of you can stay with the older group in the campsite next to us.” Christine said.

“There is also room for one more in the boys tent if either of you are interested in that.” Patrick said, just making sure that the twins had all of the information that they needed before making the decision on where to sleep.

“I will sleep with the guys.” Lexy said before anyone else could say anything.

“Are you sure you want to be in a tent all night with Chad and Kirk?” Laura asked, knowing how those two boys could be.

“I can take care of myself and plus, I am sure that Patrick and Chase will protect me.” Lexy said with a smile toward both of the boys who nodded in agreement.

“Okay. As long as you are sure.” Laura said.

The girls went toward the car and the guys went with them to help them with their things. Patrick had most of Lexy’s stuff so that he could set her up in the guys tent.

“So, which place is yours?” Lexy asked.

“I am the bed on the far left. Why do you ask?” Patrick asked.

“If you are going to protect me, I think I should be on the side closest to the outside of the tent, with you in between me and the others.” Lexy said.

“So, you were serious about that?” Patrick asked.

“I mean we all know that I can take care of myself, but what is a little more reassurance?” Lexy said.

“Good point. I will move things over a bit so that you can fit in over beside me then.” Patrick said and Lexy couldn’t help but smile.

If things worked out her way, she would be a part of this little harem that Patrick was making by the end of the week. She might have to do some things that she wouldn’t normally do, but it would be worth it in the end.

“So, how did the three of you end up together?” Lexy asked Patrick as they were moving the beds around so that she would have room.

“Well, Sasha and I went for a hike on the first full day we were here and we ended up confessing our feelings for each other. We decided to give things a try. As for Laura, both Sasha and I had to kiss her in the spin the bottle game. Both of us had a feeling about Laura and so did she. We talked about it this morning and we decided to all try dating. That’s about it.” Patrick said.

“That sounds interesting. Would there be a chance for another girl if it was someone that you were all interested in?” Lexy asked, hoping for good news.

“We did talk about that. I have to ask them if it is something that they are up for and if they both like the person they are willing to give it a chance. Any certain reason why you ask?” Patrick asked.

“Nope. I was just wondering if you were just with the two of them or if you could add more.” Lexy asked as she was happy with the answer that Patrick had given her.

“Okay. Well, is that everything that you need?” Patrick asked.

“I have another small bag in the car. I will get that. Plus, it looks like all the rest of the guys are busy helping my sister. I guess they figure they can hit on me tonight while we are in the tent.” Lexy said.

“They wouldn’t do that unless you let them.” Patrick said.

“I know. I was just joking around. Though I think that Lanie likes the idea of Chase helping her out.” Lexy said as she looked over toward the girls tent and saw that Lanie was smiling at Chase as they were talking.

“Yeah. I think they would make a good couple.” Patrick said.

“I think so too. I guess we will see what happens.” Lexy said as they walked over to hang out with the other girls while they waited for the others to join them.

At the same time Patrick was helping Lexy get her stuff straight in the boys tent, the other boys were helping Lanie with her stuff. She didn’t know why all of them were helping her. Maybe they thought that she was their best chance of getting any from either one of the Overton twins. It was plain to see that Kirk and Chad had seen the look on Lexy’s face when she found out that Patrick now had two girlfriends. They probably thought that they wouldn’t have a chance with her sister anymore. Two of the three wouldn’t have a chance with Lanie either. She just wasn’t interested in Chad or Kirk. Chase was a different story though.

“Thanks for the help guys, but I think I can take things from here.” Lanie said and Chad and Kirk nodded and walked off.

“I will stay and help you.” Chase said and that made Lanie blush because her crush wanted to stay and help her.

“Thanks. So, how do you feel about Patrick having two girlfriends?” Lanie asked.

“I am happy for him. It’s not really my thing, but if they are happy then I am happy for them.” Chase said.

“Yeah, I am the same way. I only want one boyfriend.” Lanie said.

“I wonder if Patrick will pick up anymore girls?” Chase asked.

“If my sister has any say in the matter, I have no doubt that he will.” Lanie said with a smile.

“Yeah, your sister is definitely a person that fights for what she wants. I saw the look on her face when she found out about Patrick, Sasha and Laura. I knew what she was thinking right then.” Chase said.

“Lexy does tend to wear her emotions on her sleeve. She is very easy to read.” Lanie said.

“She really is, isn't she? So, what about you? Is there anyone you are interested in?” Chase asked.

“Oh, I don’t know. I do have a bit of a crush on someone, but I don’t know if he feels the same way.” Lanie said.

“If he doesn't, something is wrong with him. If you have any problems with this guy, let me know and I will straighten him out.” Chase said and Lanie couldn’t help but laugh at the thought of Chase straightening his own self out.

“Anyway. I think we have everything set up. Let’s go meet up with the others and see what the plan is for the rest of the day.” Lanie said as she and Chase made their way over to the rest of the group so they could make a plan for the rest of the day.
