Chapter 22

What's next?
Volunteer for an Extracurricular Activity
With your second day done, and all your classes officially started, you explore around campus. It's early, but when you see all the students interacting with each other, you can't help but feel like you should be more involved than you currently are.
The most surprising thing you see are a group of jersey and helmet wearing students advertising Lacrosse signups. Apparently the team is not full due to some sudden dropouts and transfers, and they'll give any male student who is interested the course code for free. You've never heard of something like this happening before, and you remember playing Lacrosse in High School. You could do this, easily. Equally noticeable to the jersey wearing students are the cheerleaders. Are there normally cheerleaders for Lacrosse games? Well, here there are. And the lead cheerleader, a light-skinned athletic black girl, looks you up and down with a smile that might be...no, is seductive.
But no. It's irresponsible to make choices just because of girls. You won't go that far. Anyway, you already saw signups for tutors at the library. You think of Professor Janis, smart and hot. Okay, fuck, here you are again making choices because of girls, but setting that aside, there are probably a lot of good things about becoming a tutor. You've always known that teaching others helps you learn, yourself. And you aren't sure, but it seems like a good samaritan sort of thing to do. A respectful thing. Won't that get you friends?
And, finally, as you look around the quad, there's the obvious choice. Loud bros playing loud music are shouting at each other while proudly advertising Greek letters. You're not sure which fraternity they're a part of, but from the outside there is little difference between one frat and another. Speaking of friends, there is no question that rushing a frat is the way to go for popularity. You end up with a built-in friend group, practically. It seems the way to go if you want to always get invited to parties. And parties means...it means girls, god damn it.
Okay, fine, girls might really be influencing you here. Best embrace it.
A/N: Hey all, this is the most ambitious split I've done so far. It's not going to determine the entire course of the story, but there are big sections you'll be locked into/out of by choosing one of these three, if I stick to my original plan.
As far as your core stats, Lacrosse will lead to Physique points. Tutoring will lead to Study points. Rushing the frat will lead to Popularity points. But that's not everything, they will also create story/relationship opportunities.
In my original plan, "tutor" is the best way to pursue Madison. And is the only way to pursue her romantically. There may be other girls who you "tutor" as well.
The Lacrosse team will lead to the most interactions with Taylor, the black cheerleader, a character who I decided to add because of the story's reception.
Rushing the Frat will lead to a lot of opportunities to bond with Brandon, and by extension will help with Alice. In addition Madison, Taylor, and Yasmin (I know, surprising), are all sorority girls, so you will encounter them at Greek Life events.
I want to make the full context of this choice clear, because I am about to slow down the updates significantly, and I don't want people waiting for weeks only to realize that they have been locked out of the girl that they want. For my own sanity I will try to minimize the three-way-split as much as possible, and hopefully prevent the player from getting locked out of pursuing girls. But some things, like the romantic Madison route, just cannot be changed.
Thank you so much for this immediate reception! I would not be pursuing such an ambitious split if I didn't feel like there were enough readers that every route would get read. It's crazy how fast this took off, and I really, really appreciate it.
Which do you choose?
